A yellow probably was the right call, if Emerson hadn’t barged into his back then maybe the red would’ve stood but I imagine they’ve seen it as he was provoked and seeing as it was more a push in the face than a punch, they’ve switched from red to yellow.

Nah I think he’s had a good game, can’t disagree with any of his calls tbh. He’s tried letting it flow and booked the cynical stuff.

 

What about Z getting another yellow for the original foul?

 

They booked Havertz for that due to him swinging a leg at Richarlison right before Ziyech came in.

He fecked up that entire incident - and largely because he had lost some control earlier by letting too much go. I get that matches need to be allowed to flow, but this was always going to be 'on the edge'. Too much history.

 

I don’t think he did. Three players got booked for a heated incident and it’s hard to argue with that.

Prior to that there’s not been any dubious calls other than one that went in our favour and that was Richarlison could/ should have been booked.

 

This will only get worse unless the ref grows a pair. He has lost control of this game.
