Players don’t seem like they can even string a pass together and the back 3 either look full of errors or like they’ll struggle to deal with the pace and physicality of Lukaku. The team is a lethargic, flabby imitation of the group that came back in Amsterdam from a 3-0 aggregate deficit.
This is a poor group of players and whilst I have been often critical of Doherty, Tanganga is even worse.
Why are we persisting with Tanganga? His confidence and form are non existent. Starting Gollini after his shake game at the weekend is beyond my understanding. Lo Celso should not be playing for us...he is shocking.
I honestly think Conte doesn’t give a **** about this tournament to have gone full strength…don’t think he can afford to with the NLD round the corner that’s not why he’s here and if we are here for this level he won’t be here long putting his eggs into the Top 4 basket and I don’t blame him considering the limitations of our squad…thers more glory in that than winning this and qualifying for the Euro conf league
