    I think the only way he could leave this summer is if Spurs don't qualify for the CL. For that to happen the Chavs would have to gain 9 points on us considering goal difference. The likelihood is that Chavski will drop at least 4 points, which means we would have to drop at least 13 out of 21 or 13 out of 18 if we beat Stoke on Saturday. That ain't going to happen. Not even RCL, in a moment of extreme depression, could forecast that<laugh>. Cue 'we aint gonna get another point you mo fo' barrage.

    Come to think of it, the only Premier clubs that we haven't beaten yet this season are, Citeh, Watford, Leicester and West Brom, Yikes!!! 4 of our last 7 matches,

    When was the last time that we celebrated St Arseholes Day and St Chokeski Day in the same season?

    100% agree with this. I can't actually believe any Spurs fans would think otherwise.

    Hugo's not the best goalkeeper in the world but he's in the top 20 and at his best, he's in the top 10. however, he has clearly identifiable issues:
    1. I cringe every time we pass around at the back. His distribution is shocking;
    2. He can be iffy on crosses. He's not the tallest or the biggest, which make him fast and agile but he's no Big Pat or Ray Clemence;
    3. The near post is less of an issue compared to 2 or 3 years ago but it's still an issue.
    We couldn't afford to buy a goalkeeper who is currently performing better than Hugo every week,, we'd need to buy someone that would become that good, if we could find such a player and beat all the other buyers to his signature. Not easy.

    Also, who's going to offer us the kind of money that would tempt us to sell and him to move, given that he has those issues. Pretty much every top team wants a 'keeper who passes like an outfield player. I think that our futures are currently joined and that's a lot better than Toby, right now.

    90% agree. Erik the Viking was better imo. The keeper, not the poster - I've never seen the poster play in goal.

    But Lloris can make saves that only De Gea and, bizarrely, Gomes can make. His weaknesses are spelled out above and I agree, but no one is more alive to the through ball than him, saves us many one on ones.

    1994/5

    How we managed that in a squad that included Dean Austin, Justin Edinburgh and Jason Dozzell, yet somehow couldn't do so with squads that included Luka Modric, Rafael Van Der Vaart and Gareth Bale, will forever be a mystery.

    ...okay, half a mystery, given a couple of seasons later Ken Bates spent about three times as much money as Chelsea actually had for a little short-term gain, which was one Russian billionaire away from them making Leeds look like losing 50p down the back of the sofa. But that's not important right now.

    Anyone think we’ll finish above united and Liverpool?
    Win our game in had on Liverpool and 3rd is ours to lose.
    United have city and arsenal to play, whilst we only have city....

    [eagerly awaiting RCL losing his ****]

    l'arse ain't going to do us any favours that's for sure, Everton might though, the rodent derby is normally tight. I think if we beat Citeh and they beat Manure, then we'll do both. If not, only the mousers.

    At the moment I'm nervous about losing to Stoke (it's about time we dominated someone only to lose to spawney breakaway at the end) and City and find Chelsea only 2 points behind.

    That’s how I feel. We haven’t had a spursy result in bloody ages.
    SURELY we can’t lose to stoke though?! Even with a spursiest of spursyness performance?

    Spursyness is never far from my mind. Stoke have been our absolute whipping boys for a while now and they looked awful against Arsenal and Shaqiri's dismissal of all his teammates wont help, so we should do beat them comfortably. Except we never do anything comfortably. I'm assuming Chelsea will now win all 7. We need 5 wins and Stoke has to be 1 of them.

    Shame football is not like American football, we could sign Shaqiri and use him just to take the corners.
