bloody shambles....fuk off Harry..no bloody pride.. every basterd time we can make a statement we bolox it up. sometimes the fans need some encouragemnt too from the team!
Two things changed the course of the whole game. The ridiculous 2nd "goal" decision. And, perversely, our goal. If Balebhadn't been following up and scored, Cech would certainly have been sent off, and they would have been down to 10. But, that's the way our luck seems to go against them!
This was one incident, that rarely happens...Unlike your club, where you OFFICIALLY stood and backed a player found guilty of racism, and then it was followed by two racist incidents, fail to see the connection, and the major difference with that of Arsenal? You are the academy of the KKK, a midtable sh!thole of a team. Everton are the new team in town, sitting above you in the league.
In truth though, Chelsea were the better team and deserved it. Your defending today was bloody shocking. Walker is looking out of his depth, King looks finished, and Gallas was his usual self. BAE also left loads of room down the flank. Just awful.
I feel for Spurs, they only have 2 decent CBs and they're both injured. BAE is ****e in my opinion but I do think Walker has the potential to be world class.
Chelsea weren't the better team in the first half. The game changed completely on one decision, as we had to chase a goal that shouldn't have been given. We left lots of space at the back, as we had to try to score, which wouldn't have been the case if the ref hadn't have left his guide dog in the changing room. Can everyone stop responding to half-witted pricks, by the way? They'll be dealt with.
I agree that some of our defending was not the best. Unfortunately, through no fault of our own, we were chasing th game, and you have to take chances. We were actually on top, and looking more likely until that idiot Atkinson royally ****ed us!
It was a ****ing awful decision - really unbelievable - though I have to admit I did see one angle where it looked in. After watching a few "slo mo's" its clear it wasn't in. I don't think the game changed on that decision though - Chelsea were winning after all and even then Spurs got it back to 2-1 and should have been more sensible chasing the game. There was plenty of time. Redknapp made a howler of a decision by taking off VDV - That was the turning point. He went for broke too early.
Something we just don't have - maybe togetherness but not mental strength. The REAL game changer was not the phantom goal but bringing Defoe on - switching to 4-4-2 ruined us as it gave Mata too much space in midfield to dictate their forward play.
The momentum was hurt quite badly by Luiz spending about 5 minutes being treated within 10 yards of the sideline and Cahill replacing him, who was far more solid.
When we went two down we went for broke, it could've worked, it could've not. On this occasion it worked for a bit, we scored one had chances for another but they ended up routing us. Atkinson didn't lose us the game but his decision backed us into a corner.
What's the handball rule? At 3-1 Cahill clearly leans into the ball in the area, *most certainly* not a ball to hand incident but far far obviously the other way. It his the top of his arm, *not* his shoulder. Is that handball? Dunno, but kind of goes with the other decisions that will be forgotten because of the 2nd "goal"... like their keeper not being sent off. Lets also not forget that after the result was beyond doubt they should have had someone sent off, can't remember who it was, for kicking Parker. ... and I thought after the Stoke match away it would be hard to find a truly awful set of decisions.
It was Mikel that kicked Parker, Vimhawk. The ref booked him though, so he won't even face a ban for that. The Cahill incident wasn't a handball, for me. Looked like it hit his shoulder.
I thought it was a handball at first but the replay (to me) looked more like a shoulder. He definitely leaned into it though. Wouldn't have been a pen either way cos his arms were ridiculously tucked in (can't chop your arms off). Nah, at first I was annoyed about it but eh. And yes Mikel should've been off.
Don't be a **** - no angle looked like the ball was in!! Yes we capitulated having recovered somewhat and the tactics certainly weren't right by any means - but until the 3rd went in the game could have gone either and we will never know what difference the 'goal that wasn't' had. You won - great - rejoice in it - I am sure you feel very proud - and of your fans!!!
Wonder if Parker got booked for the original foul or for the reaction. If the latter then that is even more a case of appalling officiating. Mikel did a 'Beckham' and should have been shown red. But much too late to change the game. Close call for the handball as he definitely dropped into the ball - but agree it would have been a harsh pen. But as I have said elsewhere, our later capitulation will no doubt help disguise the ineptitude of the officials.
