Praying we don’t see another lethargic performance, but I’m concerned we will.

IMHO that starting XI is driven by the loss to Wolves
(specifically Pochettino fearing a repeat with a weaker team) .
However, if fatigue really is the reason for that loss then he
    really does risk a repeat.

I wonder if Cardiff will attempt to play exactly like Wolves,
or just Dyche-ball at the minimum.

Very disappointing line-up. Not often I disagree with Poch's line-ups, it's usually his lack of changes during a game that can sometimes be puzzling but starting the same XI that lost to Wolves with the exception of LB is weird when so many were poor or looking laboured. How can KWP get three assists in a game but gets dropped for the following two? Winks starting another game when he should be lucky to get in the U23 squad. Lucas on the bench again despite the fact he'll be fresher than any of the other three AMs? :headbang:

Hopefully at full time I can quote this and say "shut the **** up DH".

And on top of that confusing lack of rotation, Llorente returns to the bench. Why was he omitted against Wolves, then?

Only Poch will know why he’s picked that team, and I’m sure he’s got good reason. I just hope we can score several in the first half and make early changes in the second. So many matches coming up, and we cannot afford any injuries or any more fatigue.

Strange selection today from poch I guess he knows better than us as regards to fitness and form but he needs to change it up if things are not working out by half time and no subs at 78 minutes ffs.no excuse today we need to get back to winning ways COYS

Given we'll likely heavily rotate for Tranmere the lineup makes a little more sense (emphasis on "a little"...) although you'd think Davies would've featured given he's a Swansea boy so would be up for this one

Just one change to the team that lost to Wolves. So if we win convincingly tonight, does that mean the poor second half performance was mentally driven rather than physical?

That’s what Poch suggested Saturday and it certainly seems that way today.

Does this mean skippy will play 90 minutes in the cup or does Poch not fully trust him yet I'm baffled

  12. I guess Poch is saying ‘you are the guys that screwed up against Wolves - go and show me it as a blip’
He must know it wasn’t a fitness issue.
    Hope he’s right <yikes>

  13. If you’re lucky you’ll find one without Alan Feckin’ Smith!

At this point, I’d be happy with Alan Smith, and a clone of Alan Smith in the commentary box.

Taking a look at Twitter, the response to Trippier starting has been wholly positive...

1-0 Kane. Scrappily pushed over the line from a Cardiff defensive cock up.

1-0 apparently. Looks like I’ll be relying on notifications on my phone! <laugh>
