I guess Cardiff's hope that the tribunal members would be off their tits on something didn't come in. It was always the punt of all time but they got away without having an extra game added to the 3 game ban.

When David Blunkett gave evidence against Ralls, that was that.

 

Not adding the extra game ban is ridiculous. That appeal is probably close to the definition of 'frivolous' in the OED!

 

Or perhaps they hoped President Assad of Syria was chairing the Tribunal.

 

Sunderland appealed a red card a few years ago, as it was clearly excessive.
The appeal was actually against the length of the ban though, rather than the ban itself, so they ended up getting the player an extra match!
