We're very lucky that we have four players as good as Sandro, Dembele, Paulinho and Capoue. Even with only one hurt, we're in a bit of a dilemma tomorrow. While I think Paulinho is probably our player of the season, so far, and Sandro was fantastic last year, Dembele has started every game. We've also dominated the midfield every game, Paulinho has gotten forward well, and I would keep a combination that's been doing extremely well together. It's great to have two players who can both get forward, and between them are strong enough defensively we don't need an out-and-out defensive mid. When Sandro gets his chance, if we do even better, let him start then.
I think it is sometimes forgotten that we have half a new team - players who don 't know each other, and are now slowly getting used to playing together. I have to say that, for the first time in many years, things look very promising for the future. I also believe that Eriksen will be an absolute key player for us. I can't believe how quickly and easily he has fitted in. Virtually everything he does oozes class and intelligence. He has the potential to be one of the greatest players we have had in recent times. Luca who??.
The goal or Lamela's nutmeg on Caulker? Look at his reaction after getting done!....(questionable defending at a key moment that cost a match. ) Good upper body strength from Paulinho holding that defender off.
Townsend needs to realize that his dribbling could get him a great career, if he could just get his decision making up to decent level.
