Great result yesterday but you could see that Burnley played into our hands with their HT changes , another day and a stronger team we will get our pants pulled down, we are still a work in progress at the back , I noticed that Burnley's 2nd goal once again involved VDV getting a touch on the ball, that's not blaming him as he had to make the challenge but that could be 3 OG's with his involvement.
Ange ball is just what the fans and players needed after the last 4 yrs and I look forward to the introduction of the youngsters led by the old man Sonny age 31 <laugh>

I've only seen the highlights on sky of yesterday's game and they only showed the 5th goal build up from the halfway line , here it is in full, from the scary ange ball at the back to poros inch perfect through ball , if one of the Sky darlings had scored this they would be creaming themselves for weeks

At last we are seeing some proper Spurs football using the talents of our players to attack the opposition. How much better is this than skulking around like smash and grab raiders waiting for the opposition to go and make a cup of tea so we can nick a goal.
I think a lot will depend on midfield authority and with Bissouma and later Bentancur we have some chance of achieving that. Long may Ange serve this exciting football up.

I suspect that we won't be as successful as we have been against City in much the same way Burnley failed against us, but that's a price worth paying to watch attractive football. The players have been released to play using their abilities in the most natural way. That's why it did not take long for Ange to change the way Spurs play, he just took the restraints off and placed the players in positions where their natural abilities shone through. This is the method that Clough and Shankly used and those are pretty good managers to follow.

Portugal seem to produce fantastic players just like Brazil and there is a colonial connection of course. The difference is that Portugal regiment their teams and Brazil allow their players freedom of expression. Stifling Portuguese football has always bored me but in recent years, probably because of Mourinho, it's become fashionable. We've had too much of it at Spurs, the least likely team in the PL to use it but Levy thought it would win us a trophy. So glad to see the back of it.

I think we are all falling in love with Ange and our players will be singing at their new found freedom and purpose.

All five of our goals were superb yesterday. Which is a double edged sword as we probably won't get such amazing finishing in the next few matches

You’ll have to just let Hudd have his Richarlison love-in, mate. Was the same with Winks back in the day.

We all just smile, nod and say “yeah” when he says that sort of stuff to make him feel good, but it’s similar to when you see a kid draw a really **** picture and you say “wow that’s great!” but deep down you know it’s horse **** and just don’t wanna hurt their feelings.

like anyone, I wanna see all of our players do well. But with any squad, there will ones who are less popular for whatever reason, and other superstars who will have kids queuing up for a particular name on the back of their shirt.

But in Richarlisons case, I’m struggling to see how he fits in to this style, other than perhaps an “impact” sub, when we are adapting our play to give us a new dimension.
IMO, Solomon has to start the next game. You can’t drop a player who has come in and got 2 assists.

    Of course we will.

They are one specific team we play each season, so
deal with them appropriately,. I will take any kind of
football against them at home as long as it means
    they do not score.

He strikes me as a type of old school English centre forward with the slightest of Brazilian twists that basically fits Dyche-ball, like an Ashley Barnes/ Grant Holt/ Kevin Phillips type of striker and those types are largely outdated in my opinion, especially to teams chasing high positions and silverware but even lower calibre sides are now moving more towards a total football type of style, Burnley doing as such yesterday.

Whether he’s a worthy plan B or C type of guy is open for debate I guess, not for me personally especially at £60m but I can see why some are open to it.

Agree on Solomon, was getting early fears he was gonna be another Danjuma after just getting a few mins in the league in the first three games but was happy to see him in the XI yesterday. Funnily enough whilst the two assists were nice, I actually felt his final ball/ final decision making wasn’t the best but that’s something that’ll improve with time. I said in pre-season his style of running and movement really reminds of Lennon, used to love watching Lennon too. Could be a really good freebie - though I do think we should look to compensate Shakhtar to some degree.

Had a great start and looks very mature for his age. Very, very good, so far.

Partially for the thumbnail and partially for Burnley's increasingly depressed commentary.

This is the take IMO. I do think we will need a more physical natural 9 on occasion. That’s Richy for now but ideally we’ll look for a better player in January.

The problem is though we’re gonna be in the same situation with him as we are Ndombele and Lo Celso. No one’s gonna be giving us anywhere near that £60m back and knowing Levy he’ll then reject any lower offers because he’ll continuously think he can get more. If he rejects €8m-€12m offers for Sanchez, then no way will he take something like £20m for Richarlison. So then will we actually bring another in whilst he’s still here? Very doubtful I’d say. I think we’re stuck with him for a considerable while. Only hope really is a Saudi offer.

I'm not sure what he's ever done to earn the name of being a 'physical' forward. Sure, he's a nuisance and gets in defenders faces, but his default is to flop to the ground at the slightest touch. Seems more concerned with winning free kicks than duels.
