    Having Dier in the middle has made a difference and Lucas is doing defensive work. The forwards have looked great. Did Pochettino work them too hard in training as he tried to recover the position the team had fallen into. Maybe Jose is giving them more rest and it has made the difference. Just a thought.

    Excellent half of football. Moura has really put in a shift down the right but Sonny will be grabbing the headlines for THAT goal.

    One major thing that stands out compared to pre-Mou is the passing. We’ve bought back the long balls from Toby but we’re also directly switching the play a lot more to find openings and the short interplay happens much more often and effectively too. Far too often towards the end under Poch there was too much going round the back and passing was slow and at that ‘middle distance’ where it won’t create openings. We’re still doing that occasionally to control the game but when we want to go, we either go direct or find space to advance up the pitch with some clever passing through the middle. It’s much better to see and much more effective.

    Nice little buzz here in the stadium, especially after Son’s goal, what a worldy. There’s loads of South Korean’s here today (more than usual it feels) too so that would’ve been great for em.

    More of that in the next 45 please lads.
