I don't think any of us are happy with keeping things as they are, whether Ange in or out.

Big change is necessary. I agree. The league form was clearly not good enough, and now the expectation is even higher.

The biggest change is that we need to build a squad that is unquestionably capable of competing in the CL and the PL. We must buy some better players with more experience to bolster the squad. All of these kids have been great, and there are more coming, and that's exciting stuff for the future, but we need a squad that, regardless of manger, will strike fear into any opposition. Now.

Without that, it matters little who the manager is. We've proven this before. It may as well be Ange if the board aren't going to rise to the occasion and invest.

    If not now, when?

Ange did a solid job of letting Levy know the consequence of his actions or lack of. We scraped a EL cup. Pick the best manager on the planet, will he have a chance of winning the PL and or the CL with this squad? Will we be able to scrape through and look respectable, top 4?

    Obviously not.

You can't now aim for top four and expect to get in there, you need to be aiming to win the league to stand a decent chance of top 4.

If the manager was the biggest issue, the players would be letting us all know, just like they did with Ramos. Who knows, that might be happening behind the scenes, or it may happen at the start of the season. We're quick to forget we finished 5th with Ange after losing Kane, we sold experienced players and replaced them with kids. We need some guile back in squad.

It'll be very interesting whatever happens. It's likely that Mason is off, so Levy won't have his reliable interim option in place should things go pear shaped.

I think the argument is strong either way, Ange absolutely would have been gone without the cup, but it's all absolutely pointless if the playing squad is not seriously upgraded.

Having said all that. I think Daniel Levy would be an idiot to get rid of Ange now without giving him another season.

The players are seemingly united behind him in ways that I haven't see in a long time.

Positivity is high amongst fans. [Despite how it looks on these forums.]

If you sack Ange and we go back to the norm of firing and hiring from a position of mediocrity, Levy looks very stupid.

Give Ange the rope [and decent players], at least to make the decision, if or when it eventually happens, an indisputable one.
