Match Day Thread Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton & Hove Albion

Son with our first real attempt. About time. Need to create far, far more.

 

It’s our usual tippy tappy scrappy first half displays. Too slow, trying to score the perfect walked in goal.

Need to up the pace and be more direct.

 

I think Brighton are playing Loris back to form

 

Harry is really struggling to make an impact. Add to that some dreadful build up play behind him and that sums up the first 25 minutes....

 

Where's Moura supposed to be playing? Not influencing the game at all, so far.

 

Gross making Wanyama look silly. He still doesn't look anywhere near 100%, does he?

 

Sorry to say it, but Brighton want this more. Very poor so far.

 

Brighton playing some pretty decent stuff in fairness. Kudos to Chrissy Hughton.

 

Nice move by Moura and Eriksen. Shame about the finish.

Ok gonna say something highly unpopular...

Sissoko is really growing on me. Puts in a shift. Has worked hard and is useful in several areas of the field. Might not be a master of one particular skill but a very decent jack of all trades.

 

He has arguably been our best player so far tonight

 

Cue a Sissoko shot into row z, or a lofted pass straight out for a throw...

 

really surprised at how little response there has been to the city match by many of the team.
Brighton doing well and playing some nice stuff...the best you can say about us is that we are battling

 

A few players with one eye on Saturday perhaps?

Eriksen seems intent on not getting injured.... Lost 3 or 4 60-40's already.
