What is this, guess the player? <laugh> OK he's on loan I thought we had sold him. Hopefully we can move beyond just getting him back. Archie Gray could become such a player.

This squad of players is where it belongs, changing the manager will achieve nothing in the long term under the misery of Levy & ENIC, we may as well stick with Ange and give him a proper crack at it, though unfortunately he will likely never have the required level and size of squad to make it happen.

Our problem is the owners and has been for 24 years, there is next to zero sporting ambition in comparison to our competitors, despite being one of the highest money making clubs in the world. We are where ENIC deserve us to be, we have no elite players (won`t pay the wages to attract them), we buy the likes of Gray and Bergvall instead of Eze and Neto, Dragusin instead of Tapsoba etc, because Levy can pay them way less. When you factor in the huge reduction of the wage bill over the last months, Levy actually spent next to nothing in the summer window.

It doesn`t matter who the manager is under these parasitic owners, we will continue on Levy`s roundabout of incompetence and horrendous decision making, while the stadium will be full of Levyista`s, and proper fans replaced with affluent tourists and happy clappers. The football operation is no longer a serious football club, it is now a successful sports and entertainment business where having a winning football team is not essential. Levy has gradually pulled the wool over many fans eyes, he`s played a blinder in many ways, he has got many fans thinking like he does which is a major part of this clubs problem.

Spurs are now forced to compete with the likes of West Ham for potential managers, which is rather embarrassing, this is how far Levy has taken the club backwards, top managers are only interested if Levy pays them £15m a year (Conte, Mourinho) and top players can always get better wages elsewhere. This club needs a complete change of mentality and to get away from the ENIC brand, a major overhaul with a new chairman. Levy had his last throw of the dice with Mourinho and it failed like everybody else.

    Levy out.

Pretty hard to argue with any of this tbh.

Fwiw I think on the business side of things Levy is one of the best in the world.

Unfortunately on the football side of things, he isn't much better than the Glazers who are rightly reviled at United.

Most of our progress on the pitch has come despite him, not because of him.

It seems the strongest argument most pro-Levy fans can muster is "be careful what you wish for", which holds some truth as yes we could be stuck with someone like Moshiri, but the unwillingness to take that risky step is symptomatic of the utter lack of ambition permeating the entire club right now.

We've been going round in circles since we left WHL imo.

Right, and the answer which was the same after 15 games as it was after 50 and as it will be after 100 is:

    Neither is good enough.

Yes, I agree, but given our budget it is in principle quite important to determine which of the 8 players who are not good enough need to be replaced first and my point is that no-one can tell

    I agree.

And my point is, given our budget, most of those player shouldn't have been signed in the first place as the overwhelming majority will turn out to be a complete waste of money and either sold to the highest bidder, loaned out for an eternity or have their contract cancelled.
