Mad to think that the two Brazilians in this team are so unsuited to playing a possession based style. Emerson’s given it away twice and just put Vicario under pressure, whilst Richarlison has so far lost possession almost every time he’s received it.
It is absolutely crucial that bentancur remains injury free for the next month at the very least. We are a completely different team when he plays. If we could get him, Sarr and Maddison all playing at the same time with Romero and VDV back I fancy us against anyone
He’s a good squad player but wouldn’t be starting if everyone was fit. He’s also useful if we are chasing a goal at the end of a game as he is decent in the air. But technically he is very limited and is so frustrating to watch.
It’s nuts the two Brazilians in this squad are so “anti-Brazilian”. Sarr going off injured, looks really upset… gutted for him.
I’d seriously contest that tbh, mate. His cons far outweigh his pros to the point he’s often a hindrance when on the pitch. Davies, Solomon and Perisic are who I’d consider good squad players.
I know what you mean . If say he’s only injured for two weeks and has to pull out of the AFCoN, it’s better for us than him missing roughly four weeks of games for us whilst at AFCoN.
If we were offered money for him I take it in a heart beat. Decent bloke but will never understand us buying him, let alone for 60m.
