Do we believe that we are really having this amazing season, or is it just a collective dream. I mean somebody told me Leicester are top of the league and Spurs are second! Yeah right! At least make it credible.
I do sometimes break out in a cold sweated panic that this whole thing has been a fantasy, some elaborate practical joke funded by Abramovich that is being turned into a feature length documentary, presented by John Terry and with a foreword from Jack Wilshere. I half expect to wake up at any moment to discover that Spurs are in fact a point off the relegation zone, managed by Steffen Freund and captained by Vlad Chiriches. Our top scorer is Paulinho with 3, and Federico Fazio (vice captain) just set a new record for most sendings off in one season. Our planning application for the new stadium has been rejected, whilst the fire at Archway Steel was found to be the work of Daniel Levy, who as punishment was made to fund Chelsea's expansion of Stamford Bridge. Hugo Lloris just kept his 19th clean sheet of the season at 2nd placed Liverpool, while Arsenal captain Toby Alderweireld is on course to be named PFA player of the year. Tottenham's performances are so bad, that they are shown in a small box at the bottom corner of the screen during the end credits of MOTD.
Sounds nearly as bad as most of the 90's/early 00's as I remember them. Maybe they were just a bad dream and this is reality? Is this heaven or Iowa?
I thought last season was strange.Everyone beating up on each other while Chelsea got a point here and there and came out top! I think this season it's happening again with Leicester doing the Chelsea bit. Just imagine where we would be if we hadn't let some of those home games get away this season...........!
