Trippier on for Walker? Injury? Trippier was awful midweek. Why are we letting Kane finish this game? Seems silly.
N'Jie replaces Kane. Not before time. Fantastic to see him back in the goals and I hope it'll lift him back up for the following games. Not quite MOTM, though. Got to give it to Boruc. Quality.
Definitely by far our biggest goal threat all season. Shows how effective Kane is when playing with a partner.
Would be nice if Kane + Son could get 40+ PL goals between them. Eriksen + Lamela look like they might chip in with 20 between them too.
5-1 FT. Lots of positives, but something of a tricky one to judge. Big scoreline, Kane scoring again, Mason back from injury and three points. All great. Very poor defending at times, conceding in about a minute and an opposition goalkeeper playing terribly take a little of the shine off though, for me. Far better than our midweek performance in Belgium, though. Much more like it. Howe should take some of the blame himself and I'm sure he will. His side's heavily depleted by injuries, so starting a keeper that had to pull out last week through one was always a risk. Backfired badly in this case.
the score line should have no effect on the amount of injury time, if that game was 2-1 4 minutes would've been added
Just what we needed to see after the Anderlecht loss. Clinical finishing, control of the game, maturity and some top class bits of skill thrown in. Thought our defence was outstanding. Bournemouth might not be much at the back but I thought they were good going forward but there was several examples of excellent defending that helped keep them pretty quiet. Eriksen would be my MOTM but who can take it away from Kane, it wasn't just his goals he was top draw across the pitch all game. There's potentially a very, very good side at our club currently, we've got to turn it into results and performances on a regular basis though.
Rather patronising for Bournemouth too, I feel. They must've had a mixture of relief and embarrassment when the board went up.
Even still I expect that at the end of the season he'll have more assists for Spurs than a few of our midfielders. It's like when we signed Klinsmann for one season only it was for one game. Let's just enjoy the memories.
I put Aguero and Sterling on my bench for the Spurs game and forgot to put them back in. Luckily there was enough injuries to get Aguero moved off the bench the week he scored 5 but I missed Sterling for the hattrick last week. Kane's hattrick this week has been welcome consolation, especially since he's my captain
It should, but the opposite way. 30 seconds to add on for each goal given the delay to the game. That's without the other reasons for extra time.
Good to see us get some goals on the scoreboard today. Especially pleased for the boy Kane. Sure this will give him a massive boost of confidence. Can't help feeling however, that we got several doses of luck all at once in this match for the goals. Might need a bit more of that in some of the fixtures to come. Still, it was the right result, we're still in the chasing pack and that's what really matters - COYS!
I enjoyed my trip to the south coast today, it was a pleasure to see a young man who always works hard at his game, getting his long overdue rewards with a well taken hat trick. I don't think we ever got into top gear as thanks to some calamitous goalkeeping from crazy Artur Boric, we didn't need to. A good result, a good enough performance and well done to Harry Kane. I hope it works out for Bournemouth and Eddie Howe, but too many long term injuries are already taking their toll on them.
Do you know,I have been a Spurs fan for 62 years.......and I'm still wondering why I'm not in the nuthouse! It's just like being married......you never know when the crap will hit the fan....or when your luck's in!!!!!!!!?
