I answered him straight away Dier. 2-0 v Leicester. I didn't have the time to look in Wiki. If you take a look there's only 2 minutes between our two posts, Wiki, in 2 minutes and remember all that, come off it.
Dortmund have scored 3 or more goals on 14 occasions this season, including one game against Bayern and two Champions League matches. They beat Atletico 4-0 and had yet to concede at home in Europe this season before last night. Dortmund also started a very attack-minded lineup with a lot of firepower. Was it likely that we'd lose 3-0 or more? No. Was it possible? Yep.
Were you concerned PNP that we'd lose by 4 goals? 0-0 after 48 minutes, defence doing well, Lloris playing a blinder. I am NOT criticising anything or anyone, I'm responding to the suggestion of taking Kane off, pushing Son farther up and bringing on a holding midfielder.
Probably clutching at straws, but this doesn’t sound like a guy who’s intent on leaving.... https://bleacherreport.com/articles...um-move-will-be-massive-for-tottenham-hotspur
I was concerned that we could collapse to 3-0, if we were to concede a goal. That would take it to extra-time. Dortmund taking the lead on the night would have fired their crowd up massively and the team was clearly up for it at 0-0. Pochettino made the right change by shifting to a 4-5-1 and it took the wind out of their sails.
Not sure theres really much point in anymore supposition about what might have happened - Can't we just be happy that Poch got it right we scored the goal, won the match and the tie and in the end once we had scored with no further dramas - A job well done
I wasn't concerned. I made a suggestion of a tactical change and it was derided because Kane scored. Well I'll repeat, he didn't score the winner did he, we were still through at 0-0 weren't we and given their recent dip in form losing a 10 point lead at the top of their league I don't think they'd have scored 4.
Granted, so can we stop deriding suggestions when there's no proof at all that they are bad suggestions.
What, he scored the WINNER which sent us through to the last eight, I don't think he did. He'd have scored the winner if they were 3-0 ahead and then he'd scored. He scored to make it 4-0 on aggregate.
Well said. Litmus test is how you turn up after a tough match against the saints who are fighting for their lives after a run of bad form (although theres a few who dont believe in form)
Kane scored not long after you suggested to take him off, so I’d say that was a bad suggestion on your part, wouldn’t you?
