The pundits of a channel I was watching were in tears.Because Spurs won.Oh no. Real got hammered.Apparently the CL should be awarded to them every season! They were asking among themselves if Ajax could now win it. They mentioned a couple of other teams. Man U was one of them. Spurs? No. Well I did mention earlier we weren't supposed to win anything these days......even though Arsenal and Chelsea fans have nervous breakdowns when they see us coming.....
We scored 1 against Chelsea, Newcastle (terrible goalkeeping error), 2 against Watford and Fulham, 3 against Leicester and Dortmund and failed to score against palace. That's 12 in 7 games...but in the 1st 5 matches without him we only scored 6 goals. EVERYONE on this site said Kane should play tonight and that was not hindsight. You have fluctuated between selling and dropping Kane which is simply bizarre.
Well, for the first 35/40 mins that looked like a hard game for you lads, Verts (and in particular Hugo) had great games and steadied the ship. After half time you never really looked in too much trouble and killed them off with a great goal. Well done, let's hope the PL can provide more teams for the QFs
DGC being owned tonight come uppance has arrived .go back to the goons and watch emmerdale on a Thursday night
That's our first win in the four matches since Kane has been back and the number of goals has diminished. One goal in a defeat and a dodgy penalty. I think we'd have continued to win had he been benched. The remark about Kane and Son I actually took from a pundit.
I agree with you to an extent, Spurs are much more threatening without Kane if Alli is missing. With Alli in the team it's a different matter.
The first half was exactly as expected. Dortmund threw the kitchen sink, they had too and it would’ve been foolish of us if we tried going toe-to-toe. We played it smartly, contained them, let them run out of steam to an extent and then began to play more expansively which ended up getting us a goal in the second half. I’ve criticised Poch a lot this season for poor tactics, tonight however, he absolutely nailed it. It was the perfect game plan that was equally perfectly executed by the lads - every single one of them.
I was happy with our 1st half performance...Hugo and the defence played really well and we could of sneaked a goal with the Son chance.
Considering that Lloris, Aurier, Sanchez, Davies. Winks, Eriksen and Kane were on the field it was an amazing performance. People on here has called for each of those to be dropped in recent weeks. I could add Sissoko and Son to that list if I looked back a couple of seasons.
I watched it on a pub in Charlton. No other Spurs fans in attendance. Everyone in agreement that Spurs played it just right at half time. It was always about holding them off in the first half. Second half we get the goal. Jpb done. Bring on the quarters! COYS!
