We are trying to become the best club in the world. We will soon have the best training facilities and the best stadium. Both key things for long term stability at the top. The team is ahead of schedule in its development. I hope we can win the CL but that will need a lot of luck given who else is in it. Of course we all want to win everything but don't let that blind us to the progress.
Sorry, as a Spurs supporter, I cannot entertain the notion of Spurs winning the CL! Let's just focus on tonight!
The next game is all that matters, not the one after or the last one... We need to start winning again. Let's start tonight.
Sky pundit (and former Arsenal striker) Charlie Nicholas is predicting a 3-1 win for Dortmund I guess he's also pissy about Saturday then...
The one thing I hope for is we don't set out to park the bus for ninety minutes, because that's basically guaranteeing we concede within the first half hour and give Dortmund incentive to keep pushing as we'd have chucked away any hope of gaining momentum. So what we need is to press when we need to press, counter when we need to counter, and if we happen to score on the stroke of half time that'd be nice...
Poch needs to send them our to war like against the Goons in the second half. The right noises are coming out, he's told them to forget that we are 3 goals in front. Go out and try to win the match.
By the pricking of my thumbs, Something wicked this way comes! (Macbeth, for all you science and technology nerds!) It's the sound of Dortmund's drums What a load of noisy - people!! (auderey.s.thackeray, for all you non-fanclub members)
At least try to score a goal. They won't get 5. Players are always best suited to doing what they do normally. Just play they game and forget the first leg result, although if it gets to 0-2 that might be easier said than done!
11 of our 12 goals in the CL this season have come in the second half. Expect to be 3-0 down at half time, 4-0 with a minute to go then grab an away goal in injury time, Spurs don't do easy.
