I can get what Poch's aiming for here, as he wants somebody on Messi at all times and Rose is more of an attacking player so wouldn't be suited in that role - but the problem is the combination of Davies having a poor start to the season (and he was dreadful pre-season too) and the knowledge that so many of our tactical selections have a nasty habit of backfiring on us.
I think we saw some signs of Wanyama and Winks getting back to something approaching their best. It's timely if they have with all the fresh injuries.
