Match Day Thread Tottenham Hotspur v AZ Alkmaar

Not a bad lineup but still no proper striker and rather lightweight in midfield.
Let's see if Spence can still impress at right-back or if it's an issue with the system.

 

This is essentially the same line-up that created sweet fa against City.

I'm worried.

 

Bench looks very strong, first XI isn't too shabby either.

AZ are nowhere near City for quality though.

I expect a win tonight. Spurs should have enough to score a couple at least.

 

That scoreline honestly wouldn’t surprise me, I’ve supported spurs way to long to think that couldn’t happen!

That pitch is cutting up pretty badly. Kasius just hurt himself as it gave out when he crossed it.

 

I've received criticism on here for saying it, but Bentancur offers nothing defensively. All he did in that move was get in Spence's way.

 

He wins the ball a lot in midfield, but he's not energetic enough getting back or in the tackle.
