Monaco have started to keep the ball and play a bit.
Not good to see a cross allowed to bounce in the box. Dodgy.

2-0! Lamela, again. Nice little touch and shot, but I think that the keeper should've dealt with it.

Yep, that's ****e goalkeeping. Didn't get anything behind it and misjudged the bounce.

Son with the ball in the net, but he's flagged offside. Correct decision.
Lamela holding onto it a little too long when he had two good options.
Scored twice already though, so I'll let him off! <laugh>

Son really fancies his chances tonight, doesn't he? Not afraid to shoot.

Nice idea from Carroll. Nearly put that into the top corner. Playing well.

First goal is a classic example of the pressing that Pochettino wants to happen.

Sloppy defending on that free-kick. Wallace should bury that.
Bakayoko is a little unlucky with the cleared ball, too.
The defence needs to stay sharp and not let them back into this.

I've already seen a dozen "Lamela living up to his potential" comments online. The Narrative demands a hat-trick!

You'd think that N'jie was some sort of Charlie Adam-esque chopper with the way he's being pulled up for fouls.
The merest of contacts and they're going down and getting the decisions.
Really working hard, closing down, tracking back and worrying them when we break.

Nearly another one for Alderweireld from a corner. Bit of pinball and behind.
    Neither team defending set-pieces well.

Dier hurt by a nasty one from El Shaarawy. Studs to the ankle.
Not any malice in it, I don't think.

I'm fine with Bentaleb coming on to replace him, but I'll be furious if he misses the Newcastle game.
He's very important to how we play, especially if Dembele's still out.

Son shouldn't be shooting in that situation. Davies had an open goal, basically.

  20. We're finally get a decent return on the £32 million spent on Lamela!

Better late than never, I say!

    Too much Townsenditus from Son.
Play for the team. 3-0 up at HT means subs can be made.
