They fully deserved that. We have been awful. Doherty being torn to shreds and Toby just isn't commanding the line.
I suspect Jose did not trust Aurier not to go full Aurier over 90 mins of an NLD. So will not be surprised to see him on for a fair bit of the 2nd half.
Full Aurier is a million miles better than Doherty. The latter is the worst FB we’ve had at the club since Gilberto. Absolutely dreadful player.
1-1 HT. Absolutely awful half of football. Pathetic. We've totally lost the midfield, nobody's covering Doherty and we've created absolutely nothing. Kane, Bale and Ndombele weren't involved at all and I wouldn't be surprised if Sissoko comes on at the break.
Lucky to go in 1-1. Lucas and Lamela the only plusses. We're carrying Bale and Ndombele, Kane has been anonymous and as for the defening...
It is hard to blame him when our midfield is invisible and Bale is doing nothing to help him. The reality is we have a goal thanks to a moment of genius, but aside from Lamela and Lucas the entire team has been shambolic.

Hojbjerg is always in the wrong place. He often makes up for it by a last ditch tackle but I don't think he has improved us at all.
Well, this isn't accurate at all. He shouldn't have even been on the pitch to score that goal. Kicked out twice at Luiz and Xhaka, and mystifyingly got away with it.
Game is over tbh...they know where to target and should be well ahead. Our luck will not hold out another half. No idea how or why Doherty is chosen tbh. Reminds me of the last time we lost to them. We were unreservedly leading at half time, Pochettino changed nothing and they battered us 4-2. Can only see another comfortable win for them now
I fully agree. Wins lots of plaudits because he runs around a lot and shows passion, but at the end of the day he is a slight upgrade on Winks, nothing more. The gap between him and the likes of Kante, Fabinho, Ndidi etc. is vast. That said, Tanguy has also been shocking. Only seems to turn up in the easier games.
