In reflection of the Kane penalty shout , if that had been reversed, Kane as the defender shepherding the ball out and Sokratis the forward , that would have been a free kick all day long, to see headlines on the Telegraph saying Kane dived just reeks of poor journalism with a biased agenda, just as well I won't read the Torygraph
Speed is useful when recovering from an error, as Kyle Walker demonstrated plenty of times - the issue is that Danny Rose doesn't recover from his mistakes, and at the moment it feels like every one of them has cost us
It now has to be resolved PROFESSIONALLY. If Rose : 1. gets his fitness back up to typical squad levels 2. is not being a bad disruptive influence on squad harmony then while he is on the payroll and his counterparts are not playing significantly better, then he is picked accordingly. If the manager is too dogmatic to not act as per the above, then there are serious issues.
He needs to get there to lay it off to someone else then because he can't shoot for ****...his engine however ,is second to none
That's cold! I swear he used to score the odd rocket goal when he was at Newcastle. I don't get how he's improved in many areas but seemingly regressed as a shooter. I hope he finds a way. I'd love for him to score a winner in a derby when absolutely nobody is expecting it.
Someone tell them that THFC history extends back before Premier League. For example Hoddle scored 88 goals for us (19 in one season). They didn't keep stats on assists, but I'll guarantee it was more than 50.
I've said it before and will say it again. When he goes on one of his runs, instead of looking for the final pass, he should just continue running with the ball until he runs into the net.
I chuckled on Sunday when the Goons roused themselves to sing "stand up if you've won the league", not factoring in that A) technically, we could also stand up, and B) the song only drew attention to the fact that they last won it a generation ago.
According to Keith Hackett earlier, Twatkinson refereed the game very well. He was surely talking about a different game? Heard a few pundits since the incidents saying the Kane incident wasn't a pen because he "went down too easily". Well it's either a pen or it isn't, and we've all seen them given when Salah goes down under far less pressure. Fact is that since every time Salah goes down he gets a pen anyway, there is no later debate over him not getting a pen because he goes "down too easily". Also it's clear that VAR isn't going to help as I thought it might, because the refs off the field are too concerned with showing up the ones on the field. This was even worse with the Newcastle non-pen because Dean says he didn't see it. Well if he didn't see it then surely it's VAR's responsibility to draw his attention to it!
Funny you say that. Sometimes its a shade of grey and you sometimes get them and sometimes not cause the call is that close. Yes harry got bumped but enough to go down (harrys already on the way down ala vardy)?. Personally im leaning more to a pen than not but can see why it wasnt given. Even mr kane himself calls it a 50/50 decision (although it was scandalous that they made him watch it))
