Not at all. Great club, definately. But we were special, then, and nearly everyone wanted to play for Spurs. One reason, perhaps, was teams, then, were payed about the same. Today, yes, money talks and no louder than Manchester!
Disagree. I have often said there have been key points where a modest injection of cash (by oil money stds) by Uncle Joe as a loan for transfer fees etc may have really helped (2011 in particular, 2012 perhaps) . And unlike the Sugga Daddy FCs, the effect on the THFC balance sheet would have meant he could have paid himself back properly.
Davinson Sanchez said: “I feel so, so, so good! It’s a special feeling because it’s a derby and we’ve won.It was a really good game from everyone, we worked so hard, it was intense but we tried to play, created a lot of chances and it was an unbelievable win for us. This game was about character, it was about taking the better decisions and scoring the goal. Arsenal are a team full of world class footballers and easily our match in terms of talent. For some reason, after almost matching us in the first half, Arsene Wenger told them to stop working, running and playing to the first half tactical plan. He must be some **** manager."
"Don't wear yourselves out lads, you must keep your strength so you can push the barrow home with your wages in it." love yours,Arsene.
Apparently,Harry Kane is really up for it when it comes to Spurs v Arsenal. Arsenal let him go when he was....8! They thought he was tubby and not up to it.He went back to his local boys team and was noticed by a Watford scout. He joined the hornets and played for them until they played Spurs, who took a liking to him and got him to join their academy team.....and the rest you know. By the way.A certain Arsenal fan named Pisser Morgan,I believe, reckoned his new ex Bundersleague center forward would show Harry what it was all about......and the rest you know.
Yes. He's settled in fabulously well. I look at players' celebrations when we score [it's a minor disorder]. As a central defender, particularly the pacy 'last line', he's often the last to reach the celebration. He's always well received by the rest of the team and looks very much part of the group. I'm a bit surprised that he has such a good grasp of sarcasm [normally such an English comedic device] and laid in to Arsenal's players for letting Wenger down by being lazy and undisciplined. However, I have to say, he has an excellent tactical eye and appreciation of the game.
I think it was this bloke on the right...... please log in to view this image We should send him a 'thank you''...maybe a little momento? please log in to view this image
Harry Kane? No thanks! Jack Wilshere? Yes please! The conversation that started the Goons decline.......
Horribly good player. Was their version of Hoddle. His nick name was chippy...an interviewer asked him if it was cos he could chip the ball so well and he said no...it was cos he loved eating chips
