Looking at those cartoons reminds us what a nightmare we've survived! What were those managers doing with Tottenham?
Well this is interesting... http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...o-drug-test-following-defeat-to-a3528266.html
Our official twitter is reliving some old victories over Arsenal tonight: Some slightly dodgy commentary, at times, but some enjoyable moments there.
That Jenas performance in the 5-1 was one of my favourite performances from an individual. I feel like Dele is everything we wanted Jenas to be. JJ most certainly had the talent but he never had that consistency, he always turned up against Arsenal and it constantly made me wonder why he never done it more often. A real shame because he could've been a great, still a really good player for us and was pivotal in our rise back up the ranks but definitely could've been so much more.
Good Christ. I think that if you put in literally any one of our current first eleven players into one of those teams from the 2000s there's a damn good chance they'd be the best player (especially if you take into account Ledley not playing half the time, obviously). I used to go to the pub when I was totally broke and nurse a single drink for a full match so I could watch Gary Docherty play up front for Spurs. It was still enjoyable, weirdly. I think it was. Nah. I'm pretty sure it wasn't really. It just had to be done.
Scored some very good goals against Arsenal down the years. Our third in the 4-4 springs to mind as an underrated one, in my opinion.
Yep, remember that, was an excellent strike, was with his left peg as well! Can also remember his goal in the first leg of the league cup semi at the Emirates and then I think it was the 06/07 season where he hit a long ranger into the bottom corner to equalise in the 90th minute at The Lane against them.
Holy sacked managers.we weren't even looking like we would be 4 behind Chelsea and many in front of the others.Pity we hadn't started earlier!
When your attack gets out-muscled by one who is deemed to be one of Spurs less physical MF, you know you are/were sh*te.
In an interview Wenger has said that the reason they lost is because his players were always second when challenging for any loose balls. Who does this little revelation reflect on worse: the players for not giving a **** in a NLD in spite of the vast majority of the players they had on the pitch having played in several of them in the past, or Wenger for failing to fire up his players to play like they gave a **** in a match with so much importance riding on it?
