Come on Lidls, that should be a relatively easy way for Moyes to break his duck against the Scouse. Hope it's not another overhyped snoozefest like the Chelsea game, though. :emoticon-0113-sleep

    Looking forward to this game.

Arsenal are weak and there for the taking with injuries but we have so many new players who haven't played that long together.

I can't call how its going to go.

I make you right, Hugo. Lots of changes and a host of new faces. Hopefully they'll be petrified by the sight of our midfield and just run away.

No, these games are as unpredictable as the NLD - although the defending tends to be better.

I'll take boring without Suarez. No chance of any players being bitten, black players being insulted or ridiculous diving in the penalty area this year (unless Young plays <laugh>).

William Hill offering 5:2 on Spurs. Got to be a good bet.

I'm not looking forward to this game at all, I never do against this lot. I'd even go as far as saying that I hate this fixture!

We've bought some quality players but we could line up on sunday with 4-6 players who have never played in this fixture and wont understand the significance & pressure of it and that worries me. Whereas the goons have all played in this game and know all about what it means to the clubs.

I'm going over there hoping it's not another stuffing, at this stage I'd take a point quite happily.

I see they've won 10 more than we have which means up until a decade or so ago we were ahead of them in wins flushing the theory down the loo that we were always in their shadow.

It looks pretty even. We haven't conceded, or been able to get the ball to our new striker. Arsenal have looked good attacking, but let in three against Villa. Their squad is depleted but coherent. We have a stronger squad, but have hardly played together. The home team should have an edge, partly because they view a loss as more disastrous. AVB has got to convince our players that we can and should kick on here, and we've got to hope the officials don't rook us. They've been more than fair the first two games, for some strange reason.

Its a one off game...form goes out the window...
In the last 10 years we have come from 2 goals down to win or draw on 4 or 5 occasions as have they!
There has been a 5-1; 4-1; 5-4; 3-3; 2-2; 2-2; 3-2; 5-2; 5-2; 4-4 in that time...and only 1 goalless draw...we have signed a proven goal score or two we both have attacking midfielders and ramsey and giroud have found their scoring boots...So..............nil nil it is then <laugh>

Was that sarcasm District? I don't see why my post would engender that response from you.

At the risk of drawing fire from both sides: DL's comment struck me as friendly, TMT. Goalless draw does seem about right.

Hey red I'm cool man and with District. I'm just wondering why he responded with that. Why did you District? But anyway if it wasn't sarcasm then thanks for the compliment.

    I think a draw but I don't know about 0-0.

am tempted to go for a 0-0 draw, but was looking at the history of all our games and the last time the goons failed to score at home in the league agaisnt us was 1998, when it was 0-0.

They always create chances and wenger has them fired up for these games, or we make it easy for them, add in both and it ends in tears!

This board has been going on about our "powerhouse midfield" , so no better game for us to flex our guns and get us a result.

I went for 1-1 with the prediction leagues. Arsenal have a squad that knows each other, are at home but have injuries. We're away, we have a better selection of fit players but they don't know each other.
The big trump card is wenger himself.

If Arsenal lose, I can see the fans staying behind and going ape ****. Many are pissed off with their lack of summer activity as it is; defeat to us on their own soil will be the final straw, IMO.

That would be pleasant. As long as no spurs fans get caught up in the monkey business
