I was looking forward to seeing Marcus Edwards break into the first team this season but clearly poch isn't as impressed with his workrate and attitude as he praised Stirling an Amos and spoke about how well they have come on.no more injuries tonight please hopefully a win and see two of our academy products get a game.COYS
Haven't a clue what to expect from this game, have you? After the Real drubbing, will our visitors have something to prove?.....or are they coming to see the sights as tourists..........?
Stirling has grown up physically whereas Edwards is still very slight. Wiki may give his height as 1.76 but I very much doubt it. I've seen him a few times this season and he blows hot and cold. I am a great fan of his but he goes missing in some games and wants to be the star. His took his goal well today passing the ball past their goalie but otherwise he just tried all the time to cut in-nice stuff but not conclusive. Oh had a bad penalty miss.
This is a massive game for them. A Europa League place is at stake, they're playing at Wembley and they'll have quite a bit of local support. 3rd place in what was being called a Group of Death when the draw was made would be a real achievement for them. Add to that they'll know that we're fielding a weakened team and I'll be shocked if they're not 100% up for this one.
Probably end up a very spursy game .we never make it easy for ourselves do we.performance is what I'm looking for and some of our players to shine tonight
Can't be as bad as the withdenestadium at Brighton I watched wycombe play there while Brighton were building the Amex what a desperate place that was
Don't do that Rocky! I wanted to move to Sussex, somewhere near Brighton.Love those rolling hills.Beautiful place. Then I decided to take a trip to Russia as a tourist.Well, the airline (Aeroflot) put the Yanks in with the Brits and I met my wife(She's been blaming the Russians ever since!!!!)......so that was the end of that!
Apoel's support is often amazing. They know their realistic chances in the CL but they love to take part and will travel to support their team. From memory I recall when they played Porto they took something like 3000 to Portugal and twice that many wanted to go. Tickets for the trip were sold out in hours. Plenty of Cypriots in London of course but remember the fierce rivalry with Omonia in Cyprus and like Celtic & Rangers in Scotland it's political as well. Right wing Apoel = Rangers and left wing Ominia = Celtic (checkout Omonia's colours) Yes I support the wrong team LOL that's because my brother in law always takes me to see Apoel when I am in Cyprus (his team) it would be churlish if I were to support Omonia
Brighton is a nice place just that temporary ground was hideous as for Sussex it's a place I could easily retire to in a few years time
One of Mrs B's friends married money and hey own a muse house in Brighton. It must be worth £2 - £3m. We go down there a fair bit. For me, it was more fun when it was a little bit down at heel. I remember back in the day when any missing 'tom foolery' used to turn up 'down the lanes' and there were some cracking pubs. Now, it's all organic yoghurt shops and such. Still, I love the Sea Life Centre which I remember when it used to house performing dolphins.
Mad line up! Glad to see we're chucking it though, to be honest. Hopefully some of the fringe players will impress.
