That was a 5-0 game that we won 3-2. If you see what I mean. I don't think the stats reflect how many opportunities we wasted.
But it's swings and roundabouts girl cos you got to see us win the league whereas I just got the **** 70's and hopefully Dier Hard will be around long enough to see us win the title again!
This sloppiness once we’re ahead just has to stop. It’s no good for my nerves and I almost had a fit when they nearly equalised! it’s ridiculous, ffs! We were well in control and it should have been a matter of how many. Instead we end up clinging desperately onto a narrow 3-2 win., !
Look at us. My Manchester Uni kid moved to Sussex Uni and is also now in Brighton. They are probably all together in a pub discussing how their sad parent is always on the Spurs forum.
vs West Scam - concede in the 73rd and 96th minute vs Bournemouth - concede in the 73rd and 96th minute Are there any Chinese betting rings we should be concerned about?
The obvious thing of note about this match was both of Dele's goals came as a result of Toby chipping a pass over the top, the first to Sonny and the second to Dele I did say a few weeks ago that was one weapon we had seemingly removed from our locker under Poch, as it was an effective Plan B in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons, but I can't recall it happening in the last season or so since we adopted the Air Raid tactics
Well, that was a roller coaster ride. We should have been 5 or 6 up by the time that we started to switch off. There are signs of the better days of the last few seasons returning for the first hour of games. We're creating a lot of chances and finishing a few of them. After an hour, things start to fall apart. A win is a win but we so nearly chucked that away. They could well have won in the last 15 minutes. Is it fitness? Is it arrogance? I'm not entirely sure but we won't keep getting away with it. We need to sort it out....and I'm sure we will in time. I keep needing to remind myself that in the first hour there were a number of signs of improvement. I'm sorry to say that Eric Dier wasn't among them. There was an occasion at the end of the first half where we lost the ball in Bournemouth's half. They broke at pace and Dier was jogging back towards our goal, as he does.....only to be overtaken by Harry Kane, sprinting past him to make a sliding interception. I'm sorry but our centre forward doesn't need to be bailing out our defensive midfielder like that. Dier needs to sort himself out. I'm not going to comment on his failure to intercept the ball on the 18 yard line early in the second half. The bloke has to get his **** together before he's on the bench again, let alone starting games. Jose needs to accept the reality of his current form and drop him before he costs points that we can't afford to drop.
