I gave up with 15 mins to go , frustrating game to watch ,ref was pants and the stream was poor but it showed the need for an attacking midfielder who can play in our strikers, having said that I got the impression that the focus has been on fitness so far not tactics hopefully this will improve in the build up to the start of the season
Conte's been talking up the possibility of Lucas going RWB more often. Mentions that he done similar with Moses, Perisic and Candreva in turning them from wingers to wing backs. Further getting the feeling that - with the addition of Spence - Conte really ain't feeling Emerson or Doherty. I wonder if we could see both leave before the deadline?
Also begs the question if Paratici has a rabbit in the hat Hakimi keeps getting whispered about, for example
Yeah I mentioned about a cheeky bid for Hakimi the other week in the transfer thread. Sounds like he's not happy at PSG but I'm not sure if it was Poch-related and therefore been resolved. Saw conflicting rumours, one being he didn't enjoy working under Poch, the other that he had a major falling out with some of the South Americans. Both could easily be bollocks though and he's happy there.
Interesting article by Ali Gold: https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/djed-spence-delay-conte-korea-24512021 "Spurs took 107 people with them to Seoul, including the players, coaching and fitness staff, medical and sports science team, their social media, communications and marketing staff, global coaches as well as various members of the club's hierarchy. They all stayed at one of the finest hotels South Korea has to offer." All of that for a couple of, admittedly lucrative, friendlies?
This will be chicken feed if Spurs tap the revenue potential of South Korea and South East Asia, if the new stadium has to have a commercial name I can think of a lot worse than the Samsung logo on it
