Very calm and composed performance by such a young player. Shades of Scotty Parker. The no-look inverted through ball for Moura was unexpected, too.
Aside from the fact he put in a good performance, I was really impressed with the fact that Tanganga played the LCB role instead of Toby. Usually in situations where the CBs have the same strong foot, the more experienced one takes the weaker side.
Thanks, Spurf. It's good to be back. I'm actually so superstitious I stopped commenting because Spurs won in the CL when I didn't post. I continue to wish you and all the other Spurs not606 the best and am very proud of what the club, the players, and the manager have accomplished. But what a crazy ride last year was. To think that I started rooting for Spurs to make watching the PL interesting enough to watch, and now have somehow gotten to the point where I hide behind the sofa when Spurs are playing because I can't stand the drama...
Papers are running an interesting interview with Dele today,it goes a long way to explain his drop in form caused by the 3 injuries that he had last season He talks like he is fit again both physically and emotionally and eager for this season to get started Let's hope that the injection of new blood in the side sees him raise his game again
“They call it a friendly game but with tackles like that you have to be careful, he was lucky he didn’t get sent off”
Did Dele dive for that penalty ???? If that was against 100 scouse kids a petition would have been started
That's right. If he can't raise his game for a top game like this when can he? I suspect you noticed Eriksen was invisible. Again.
