Our RBs are useless though, Bale’s essentially fighting a losing battle there, just as is Lucas, Bergwijn or even Lamela. Lamela tracks back the most of all them but that comes with the consequence of him often doing nothing on the front foot. Son doesn’t really help out defensively with Reguilon or Davies either but with Davies he’s a very competent defender and Reguilon, well he’s been all over the place the last few weeks but in general is far better than the two we have on the right flank. A competent RB and a manager who can utilise our attacking players to the fullest and I think there’d be little worries about Bale’s lack of defensive nous. Should he be here next season that is, which I really hope he is.
Also more league goals than anyone at Chelsea. Matched Rashford, Mane, Pereira and Zaha and got more than Sterling, Antonio or Cavani. Bit nuts, really.
