Meireles only woke up for us towards the end of last season and scored some very important goals for us, but no less amazing was Maxis back to back hatricks which no one seems to mention. Meireles is a good player, and if we didn't have Gerrard he'd do a good job for us, but since we have Gerrard as our CAM then where does Meireles fit in? On the bench is the answer. Hence why not many of us are massively gutted he left. No point trying to explain this to you though as you seem to think you know more about LFC than we do.

I agree Mereiles is a good player and far better than Adam or Henderson but he wasn't anyone's player of the year. IMO... All of Arsenal's signings were ****. Most of Liverpool's signings were **** or at least nowhere near value of money, Suarez was good and Adam could be can't judge yet looked good so far. And actually i'm a big fan of Downing but not 20M?! All of Man U's Signings were good. Most of Man City's were good, although I feel they overpayed for Nasri. And last but not least but most important... All of QPR's signings were ****ign amazing even Keiron Dyer
And also, since when was Meireles an attacking midfielder? He can play most of the midfield and his most common position is DM
