1) You speculated on that because you wanted to. I used examples and you seized upon them as if those were the only problems people in that situation suffer from. If anyone invited themselves to speculate on my position it was you. You think I'm of this mindset through selfishness, when in reality its the ****ing exact opposite. I don't mind paying my taxes, or the fact that they are used to help prop some people up. It doesn't make my life any harder, what so ever. I'm in a fairly low income job through choice, something I've tried a great many times to explain to you. But its a total alien concept to you that not everyone in the world is powered by monetary gain or through selfishness. Probably because you read a book that pyoor said so, so it did. 2) You're wrong. It's not up for debate whether or not there is enough affordable housing. It's a ****ing fact, a well established one at that. I'm in a housing association house because, like I already said, they are the only people building houses here. I don't know if you remember this but in 2008 the housing market crashed. Which, understandably, caused many developers to reconsider building projects, further slowing down any progress that was made in the decade before. The result? less private homes for people on lower income to rent and the abolition of the right to buy. 3) This is purely an example, just in case you decide to get carried away with it again. What do you say to a 16 year old, who has just been kicked out their house because of, lets say, abusive parents. He's not disabled, so we should just leave this (imaginary remember) young person to rot in despair? not help him find a home, not help him find work? No, of course not. But you've got it into your head that everyone's situation is similar, or that everyone should be capable of looking after themselves. Not everyone is though - that doesn't make them scum, or wasters or completely ****ing useless. They are still people. Your way of helping them is by not helping them at all and that is why you're a ****. 4) This entire sentence shows only one thing. And that is that you seem to get carried away with assumptions. For example "you think 'no carpets' is a public problem" When its in a council house, especially in low income areas, yes I do think its a ****ing problem. It's not the ****ing carpets that bother me. I think its a ****ing problem that we can't look after people who need it, by providing them with a decent home, even if there are some who take the piss. 5) I don't think you understand what a housing association is, let alone know how it works. I will tell you one thing. Your taxes never went towards my house fanny features. If you understood the concept of a housing association you'd understand why they are so prevalent across the country just now. The government only had a right to **** me out of my house when I was claiming housing benefits. Which is why I stopped claiming housing benefits a long time before I was employed again you ****ing dunce. And here I stand, employed and paying taxes so that people in similar situations might get the help they need. It's no skin of my nose, it causes me no sleepless nights. While you bitch and moan about it as if its your divine ****ing right to decide who gets a chance in life and who doesn't. I'm done. Can't be ****ed reading your depressing, bleak as **** view of the world all day. It's my day off and I'll be ****ed if I'm spending it on here arguing with you all day.
Aye, so you say that you are in a fairly low income job through free choice (fair enough, once I get myself completely mortgage free, get the kids out the door and a bit more savings under my belt I intend to do the same), but you expect the state to provide subsidised housing because of your free choice?
With you or Gambol as the chairman throwing in a few little hand grenades to get them even more wound up. And you could have Monacco in the audience........
