That's what they do. Jack Duckworth's dead. Well the bloke that played him is. The admin woman has just told me. I presume you'll be sad about that, you weird twat?
Sometimes a change of employer doesn't go so well. Big woo. I never had a problem with Tiorres because he came back after the 2010 World Cup as we approached administration, when I wouldn't have blamed any player for bailing. But by the time Kenny took over from Roy the die was already cast. it clearly didn't work out for him imemdiately at Chelsea but putting all that at Rafa's door is just plain muppetry. I recall widespread condemnation of Rafa because he took Torres with his dodgy knee off at Brimingham with 20 minutes to go. Did you want him to play him or protect him?
Torres wanted to play through the pain barrier. Not Benitez fault. He asks the medical staff if he'll be ok taking injections and playing on, they say "yes" while Torres says he's happy to play. What else could Benitez have done? Say "I'm going to go against medical advice and Torres' personal wishes and not play him" I'm sure that would've gone down a treat. With twats like you saying it was proof that he had lost the dressing room etc. Sometimes people can't win regardless of what they do, this is one example of it.
A big what if for me would be if we had not lost Torres we would have had Torres and Suarez, it would have been lethal and if you remember, our run was so good in that second half, maybe having Torres would have helped in the Eruopa and pushing us into Eurpean footy for the following campaign.
Your right he does look like a shell of his former self. However your theory behind his demise has its flaws somewhat, im sure it didn't pass you that 9 times out of 10 his injuries were picked up whilst on Spain duty (maybe his body gave up when he was finally given a rest and wasn't treated so unfairly by hatchet man) it also doesn't quite explain how he couldn't hit a barn door now as appose to hitting screamers week in week out under Benitez, the ability to shoot has nothing to do with pace, no? I suppose your going to say that Benitez (and Liverpool) broke his confidence so much it spiralled into a 3 year confidence slump, boy I would hate to see him if he had some real problems.
Its not entirely down to age but obviously my point still stands that players do lose pace as they get older (that's not entirely due to the aging process but more because footballers have a highly physical job that takes its toll on the body). As for his not chasing balls down trust me when I say with Torres in his last year at Anfield that was as much a mental thing as it was physical. Yes he had injury problems as most players do throughout their careers but remember we helped him as much with those as Benitez ever hindered him and his recovery. Ultimately if he is finished as a force (which I'm not convinced he is) then we got his best years AND sold him on for a massive profit. For us that makes a refreshing change
I think that you definitely had the best years out of him & personally I think he'll never make it back to anywhere near the level he was at in his pomp. As for the profit you made, ermmmm, no I'm not going there
What you on about? Just think of the interest we made on that profit in the couple of days before we blew it...I mean spent it That paid 15 minutes of Joe Coles wages
haha, you'll get a half decent amount back if he has a good season at West Ham tbf. As for Cole, sad to see a player who was fabulous a few years back, look such a wash out at just turned 31, largely due to his lifestyle by the sounds of it. His wages were always OTT, but there's a fair few who'd have taken him on similar terms when you did in fairness. What do you reckon for Sunday mate? I'd be worried about their midfield 3, but they look vunerable at the back.
Torres like Michael Owen is a ''one trick pony'', Ian Rush who was also a stay on the shoulder of the last defender striker reinvented himself when he came back from Italy in 1988. He too lost a yard of pace, but it wasn't a problem as he was clever enough to still be able to score goals on a regular basis without it.
Really surprised to see the Telegraph produce a one line story, journalism standards are dropping dramatically. Probably to aid the use of Twatter instead.
According to Brendan Rodgers press conference today, Brendan hasn't ruled out a move for Torres in January. Apparently Liverpool stuck a first refusal clause into Torres' sale with a view of signing him for £4 million.
You wouldn't get Victor Anichebe for £4M, let alone a player who you sold to them for £50M, that's total pony.
Well thats the rumour. As for Anichebe, we don't buy your rubbish, we let you have our rubbish, i.e. Osman, Hibbert, Baxter, Rooney. All Liverpool rejects. Well it is the only reason they ended up at your academy. Tranmere turned them down too.
It's a jarg rumour then mate, let me guess - it's off twitter? haha As for Victor, I wasn't suggesting you'd want him, just using him as a comparison in terms of pricing. As for Osman, Hibbert, Rooney & Baxter - wft are you on about? They're all products of our academy & fook all to do with Libpewl
Tough to call. They have the better team but we've got a decent record there and we look better away from home at the moment. Terrys gonna come back in I'd imagine so that will solidify their back line and with Mata, Hazard and Oscar at their disposal we could take a hiding. Things in our favour are having Suarez on form and we've got pace up front so if we can keep it tight early doors we could hit them on the break. Wouldn't mind Sideshow Bob playing as well crazy ****er him. Could well be the only ground we visit all year where the fans won't be looking to bait Suarez about being a rascist
Thats why they were at your academy, Liverpool rejected them. If Liverpool had wanted them, there would not be a chance in hell of any of them joining Everton.
There was absolutely zero chance that Rooney would have ever been part of our youth system. Not because he wasn't good enough or we didn't want him, but because he would never have joined...he hates us!!!
