Interesting quotes from Fernando Torres, stating that he intends to hold talks with Chelsea manager and owner about his future as his first season has not gone the way he would have expected.

Also says he's not been happy and he's feeling pretty low.

Will he be getting any sympathy from us lot (?)
 
He has been a spectator for a significant part of the season. Perhaps he is worried Drogba will now get a contract extension and he will have to spend even more time in his shadow.
 
Nope.

It looked like he was told he wouldn't be taking a penalty last night and had a row with DeMateo right before the penos started.

Its been well documented our main issue this season was goals, and although Torres has been pretty **** at Chelsea has shown glimpses of class recently and as we all know was a goal scoring beast for us. 'm not saying last splash 50 million on him, but for 20 million maybe its worth the punt?

No matter what you think of the display, today for Chelsea should be about celebration but yet again the Whiney one pops up & starts saying "I deserve more"

Christ I hope Terry's doing Torres' wife because I feel sorry for her if she only has this miserable child to look forward to everyday.
 
He'd lost his edge well before he left us so I think it's naive to think he'd start banging 'em in if he came back.

Disagree - Roy's tactics left him isolated. His attitude should have been better but it was a difficult period for everyone. It's not coincidence that he started to score once Kenny came in.

it seems some of us fans have lost all hope for a brighter 2morrow! else how can some be asking for the return of torres! and owen! and even rafa! let us move on. no more backward steps.
 
Did you not see Torres and Di Mateo arguing over who would take the penalty? And who didn't take one and looked somewhat bemused?

He didn't look happy and a few of my mates also pointed that out.

Argue? It seemed to me like Di Mateo asked him, and he said no. Even if he did want to leave though, I wouldn't want him back.
 
I not sure what the situation was. I thought I lip read Di Mateo saying "yes" and nodding at Torres. And then he didn't take one. Very strange.

That interview is surprisingly open and he's clearly venting over a very long year for him. I woulnd't be happy if I were part of Chelsea.

The grass isn't greener Torres!
