So just under a quarter of an empty stadium then. I thought your lot loved your European nights? Maybe not as much as you would have us believe.
I don't have any control over who attends Liverpool games. If you want to just keep having digs at attendance figures then keep going...I find it all a bit pathetic to be honest!
I don't have any control over who attends Liverpool games. If you want to just keep having digs at attendance figures then keep going...I find it all a bit pathetic to be honest!
**** me,you didn't even sell out tonights game in Boston the home of your owners. Shocking.
I'm not surprised Bluff didn't respond. In your owners backyard and still didn't sell out. Warrior dismayed at the low sales figures. Sell to buy transfer policy. No stadium improvements just a big tent on a carpark. Aim of a top 10 finish. Liverpool FC officially mediocre.
Which of those statements is incorrect then? Did you fail to sell out in Boston? Yes Have Warrior expressed dissatisfaction? Yes Sell to buy? Clearly. Tent going up? yes Top 10 aim? According to your own Chairman YES.
Also, the game was a sell out. Are we miles behind the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea....yes. But drawing with Toronto and heck...even losing to that Roma side with the squad we had out aren't bad results.
Why do any of you give a ****? Pre season is not about results, it's about fitness and blending new signings into the side. Get a grip!
I really don't read too much into preseason results as it's more about gaining match fitness than anything else, but even I think that argument is a poor one, I mean it's not as if Roma, a team who like Liverpool struggled in their domestic league last season, had their first team squad out neither, they were missing the likes of Stekelburg, Heinze, Dodo, De Rossi, Perotta and Pizarro to name a few.
Heinze played. Think two key facts should be looked at when seeing this result: 1. Their 5th game our 2nd. 2. We played 433, with our cfs in each half having a combined experience of 0 competitive senior games..... Anyone who watched the game will tell you that their were much more positives for Liverpool than negatives.........Thats not to say we are going to set the world on fire this season, but many of our young players such as Shelvey, Sterling, Suso and Pacheco are looking very good.....Which means an improving first team squad with minimal outlay. This is a very young Liverpool squad who can develop together over the next few years to hopefully get us back and competing....... I dont care if you want to trash this opinion...i watch or liste to every Liverpool senior/reserve and U18 game and I know better. Roma didnt look bad to be fair, good passing and such, but i dont think they would have penetrated our defence if we had played a more experienced defensive line.
1) Our first team isn't exactly world beaters at the moment. 2) The teams we put out was practically reserve standard and many did not even partake in last seasons results... so any result wasn't gonna start ringing alarms.
