Bloke dives and they are retrospectively reviewing it and will hand out a ban if found guilty.

Excellent initiative (which happens in all Aussie sports) but I am not sure FIFA will like it. They should do it in the prem. After 3 bans even Elmo might stop doing Tom Daley impressions.

This isnt anything new at all and there's no 'top work by the Aussies' , they've been doing it in Serie A for years. As far back as 2007 Adriano was retrospectively banned for 2 games for diving to win a pen and the ref missed it. And Fifa have got nothing to do with it, individual FAs have the power to punish this however they want and it's the Premier League's lack of balls to combat diving that is the only issue. They could hand out bans tomorrow if they wanted.

The FA tried to bring it in not so long ago didn't they but the clubs all voted against it.

I dont know if that's the case but if so, why give the clubs the chance to vote on it? I bet all the big clubs would vote against FFP if they had the chance but, quite correctly, they werent given the chance.

No idea but I would assume the premier league probably said they would let their clubs vote on it but wouldn't just pass it themselves?

Bummers, a point of order.

The FA and the PL are 2 distinctly different organisations.

Dunno who has the final word if Im honest or if they're equal, which seems unlikely.

If the FA made a decision, has the PL got to abide by it? If the PL made a decision, could the FA over rule it?

Either way, I thought the FA were the rule makers and enforcers, not the PL, they just bathe in vats of cash.

Isnt it The FA Premier League?

Tom Daley says he gets "about 3,000 tweets" every time a footballer dives - so we at BBC Sport decided to get him to go through some classic dives from the archives. We've put together a short video with Tom, which you watch on our website. (Bonus points if you can spot a cameo from Tottenham's current head coach. Clue: He's not the one diving.)

The only part of Elmo's game I don't like is his diving. If he could eradicate this practice from his game, I would have no complaints about the hand of God
