a win and 2 draws = 5.

 

Technically you can get 14 points from 5 games. You just need to figure out how to get a 1 point deduction

 

Only if ones a 0-0 draw so you don`t get any points for it

If lfc win thier next 7 games in a row they will be back on track for 70 points

If we win the next two games, we'll only be 5 points behind our tally this stage last year ...

But last year, we then went on an 11 match winning streak.

 

We are also currently as bad as Hodgson's time in charge, give or take a point or two.

The main issue isn't just our form, but other teams have a lot of more points. It isn't simply 7 points behind Southampton in 4th, we have 6 points behind West Ham, 5 points behind Arsenal, 5 points behind Tottenham and 3 points behind Swansea. That is a lot of teams to overhaul and it is quite clear that we won't/

 

First 3 are settled, all others playing for 4th, which Arsenal will probably finish in.
No CL footy next season

 

Don't understand why you'd even want to qualify for CL again after being the laughing stock of the English teams this year. Easiest group and the only ones not to qualify.

United lost at home to Southampton- they are not out of sight.

We shouldn't be aiming for 4th, we should be aiming for 3rd place - 7 points off Soton at the moment and we're playing them in a few weeks I think.

We have some decent fixtures coming up so we simply have to keep up this momentum. But Rodgers will probably put Lovren back in defence and we'll go back to normal

 

Aiming for 3rd because Southampton are 3rd? That's a bit simplistic, as surely that depends on IF Southampton remain 3rd. Yep you're 7 points off Southampton, but you haven't closed the gap on Arsenal and United are still 5 points above you. That's 3 teams you need to overhaul to get 3rd which is a big ask. I think there's some chance of overhauling 2 of those to get 4th but even that will be difficult.
