Got to tell you Nige does it for me but he is financially restricted and he is doing a pretty good job.

He is a better [ almost ] manager than a player, hands tied a few health issues earlier on and is getting the wrong side of luck!
SL has made it to easy so far, and admitted his errors, but needs the ship to be kept steady this time round 2023/24 NP needs to concentrate on the task in hand, which is do the best BCFC can in present state of 5 injuries to key players in the squad.
Sniping [ np] is not the way forward, and sometimes his answers are off the cuff and can be taken 2 ways ... like "ask them upstairs"! [ he wouldnt give an answer, other than ask the ones that made the rule, ] so people interpret the worst/ negative response ... like maybe he was a victim of a changed plan.
There was no plan a or plan b it was SL would pick up the tab FOR THE TRANSFERS whether AS stayed or went.
I hope we finish better than just top half 7th/12th ... a run of 4 or 5 wins is possible when you look at our fixtures ...........

Agreed, having reduced the wage bill by a third, generated sales of £35m, and by doing so enabling the club to to avoid a points deduction, or penalty sanctions,,whilst keeping the club in the championship and finishing in a respectable 14th position last season many fans assumed at least a small proportion of the £25m profit from the Scott sale would have been invested in boosting squad numbers to a reasonable level.

As it was SL decided now was the time to reduce his subsidy of the club (not withstanding it’s his money so his prerogative ) . We are now left short on numbers, that’s a fact not an opinion. NP once again has his hands tied behind his back, which is a shame, but in his normal manner, he will just buckle down and do his best to achieve success, because that’s what he does.

I’m not getting into a debate on the whole issue, as we plainly disagree and there’s no point going around in circles, but on the point you keep making that there definitely wasn’t a plan a and b, both NP and Tinnion believed there was. So how can you be so sure that there wasn’t?. The only people who know for sure have given differing versions. Until such time as they all agree what was ACTUALLY said there has to be legitimate questions surely?

It's all smoke and mirrors Wiz
It's how our club have acted for years and years and it's frankly pathetic and also unprofessional.
But what's new at BCFC ?

Although Tinman does have a tendency to come out with some babbling nonsense, especially when he co-commentates IMO....which I quite often take with a pinch of salt!!

It's a bit like western media. You never know what or who to believe so it's best to make up your own mind over such matters.

I WILL EXPLAIN just once ... you need to read the transcript earlier, dont have time to go back and highlight it as Father in was rushed by ambulance to BRI yesterday am / Grand daughter rushed to walk in clinis as her sight became impaired / XYL has own problem seeing a surgeon regarding her knee / daughters husband walked out again so she has her major problems ...

    >>>>> it was stated that [ before window opened and as a prelude to season started ] that a sum of money would be available to negotiate the transfer window. Whether this information was made public before or after the window to the general public is of totally no consequence to any actions taken. IT is club business and they have every right to keep it close to their chest until after the event. <<<<<<<<<
the statement indicated that a sum of money was available to buy in "x" number of players but the wage bill was to be strictly adhered to [ otherwise all the praise heaped on NP for reducing it just flew out the window! ]. IF AS was to leave then a % of the money would go into transfer in's .... IF he didnt leave then the money agreed and spent would be topped up from SL's pocket .... a win win win win for NP! ............ OH and a last minute loan [ he doesnt do loan ?] the 5th win!

Now how about this for a bit of LOOKING AT THE WIDER PICTURE ............. Kalas does not sign, and AS gets sold, [ right at end of long transfer window ] so a quick deal with WBA to have A PLAYER ON LOAN with a right to buy at pre agreed price at end of season .... thats the start of the next summer window!..... and new accounting period! If you listen to the finer bits of NP's comments he states "hopefully get him permanent in January"

to me that is all good business

I get that Realred, you’ve quoted the CEO statement, my point is the others in the meeting disagree with that statement, as you, or I weren’t at the meeting why are you quoting it as fact?, you may be right, then again you might not.

The other question I posed is if that statement is correct how is it NP and Tinnion believed there was a plan A, and B.

    something doesn’t add up.

A lot of things about Bristol City FC haven't added up for years and I can't see the way we do business changing any time soon. As a kind of excuse we aren't the only sports entity that travels the same route and you only have to have followed the demise of many other clubs caused by mismanagement to get the message. Whatever we, the media and pundits say we are trapped within the business mind of Steve Lansdown and until such time as the club is sold or SL changes his plan for the club then he we are stuck in the wilderness created by our owner. The same financial constrictions apply to all who enter the Football League and you enter at your own peril if you are not prepared to play the game within the rules of monetary sensibility. Lansdown created this situation and only he can change the dynamics but I think he has either lost the plot or the desire to try and meet his self proclaimed dreams, and that must hurt his ego.
