Soops that post works even better with your sig: "If in doubt, whack it".

Who do the petrolspotters want instead of Evans - Nigel Farage is free?
If it wasn't for the stupid amount of money that Amazon are paying them, it'd be a no-brainer. Humble pie and Clarkson, May and Hammond...

Sadly, this whole saga has shown that those at the top at the BBC are so far up themselves they haven't a clue. You quote the ideal but that could never happen Amazon or not. The BBC actually have some excellent presenters and my choice would be Suzi Perry, she has worked on their Moto GP programme years ago and wasn't just a pretty face, she knew her subject and was a properly professional presenter which any type of this sort of programme needs.

Team her up with either Jensen Button or Guy Martin and LeBlanc and you'd have a show that could create it's own character, not trying to copy something they'll never be...

The show should be canned. It is way past its sell by date. It will never be the same without Clarkson, May & Hammond and no presenter(s) would be able to recapture what C M & H had when the program was at its peak 6-7 years ago before the format became increasingly tired, childish and repetitive. The BBC should decide if they want a comedy entertainment program or a motoring show and should completely start afresh, hopefully with the latter. LeBlanc appeared wooden, uncomfortable and insincere. Chris Evans was..........Chris Evans (what did the BBC really expect?) at least he has done the decent thing.

No wonder LeBlanc had the hump if Evans spent most of his time waving his willy around...<laugh>

Which Willy was he waving?

Haven't watched a second of it. Mind you didn't watch the Clarkson version for the last five years, after I developed the impression I watching repeats in prime time slots.

I reckon they told him to go before he was pushed. I have no sympathy for him at all. He was pathetic and those stupid boots he wore made me feel physically sick.

Has anyone noticed that Evans wore the same clothes for EVERY episode? I know that the studio parts of the shows are probably recorded on the same day, but come on.

BBC paid the 3 Old boys plus Wilman for the show format, name, Stig you name it they bought it, all with license payers money. Now it turns out to be worthless without the main ingredients. It's like trying to make a chicken tikka masala without the chicken, all your left with is red gravy.

Sack Tony Hall, if for no other reason than he's another Tony.

Sooper - Suzi Perry is just dire, honestly the BBC gave up on F1 and utterly failing to hold the program together couldn't of helped. They should have replaced her as well but didn't. Notice how C4 took DC and Co but not Perry. So no doubt announced in post tomorrow.

Got it! Boris Johnson to replace Chris Evans.
"Tonight: Nigel urinates on a small French hatchback, Michael takes a road trip to Italy and absolutely hates every second of it, and I laugh all the way to the bank!"

Never liked it with Clarkson and since Evans arrived I hate it just as much; besides I have no interest in cars beyond their transport value
