Secondly, the reason we had a greater need than many in the top ten was because of exactly what I said in my previous post (again something you choose to skip over). BR had a lot of fringe players on crazy wages. He was new to the job and wanted his own players in. Is that a reason to criticise? I don't think so personally. Did we spend poorly a year previous? Yes we over spent massively on players who under-performed and were going to be little use to BR in the long run. Why is that a criticism you think we should level at Rodgers? You think having Downing, Henderson, Cole and Carroll around chewing up wages and having wasted years worth of transfer funds has helped BRs cause? It hasn't believe me.
