He moved on 5 first teamers (most of whom were fringe players anyway) brought in 4 & chose to loan out Carroll. The net effect of which has been a net spend of £20M, what the effect on the wage bill is, will be in the next accounts, you can't say what the net effect of that will be yet, you can only speculate. As Suarez had a massive pay hike & Sterling is about to get one etc.

How can you say your side was in greater need than others in the top 10, in terms of investment, when Dalglish had spent so much money in the previous 18 months??? Are you saying because it was poorly spent it doesn't somehow count?

It's not wumming it's an opinion ffs, get over it.

Oh & as for your last point, many so called 'supporters' remind me of the You Tube clip I posted before. They spend hours & hours talking about 'their club' when many of them have never even been there, it makes me laugh & their opinion (to me) is less valid than those who understand the passion of the game by attending (even if only occasionally) Right or wrong, that's my view.

Firstly why would a future wage increase for Sterling have anything to do with BRs spend last summer?

Secondly, the reason we had a greater need than many in the top ten was because of exactly what I said in my previous post (again something you choose to skip over). BR had a lot of fringe players on crazy wages. He was new to the job and wanted his own players in. Is that a reason to criticise? I don't think so personally.

Did we spend poorly a year previous? Yes we over spent massively on players who under-performed and were going to be little use to BR in the long run. Why is that a criticism you think we should level at Rodgers? You think having Downing, Henderson, Cole and Carroll around chewing up wages and having wasted years worth of transfer funds has helped BRs cause? It hasn't believe me.

It might be "an opinion" but it's an opinion tainted by heavy bias. You'd love it if BR fails at Liverpool (Football Club).

As for your last point it's another crock of ****. You slate the "Norwegian" element for coming to the game and yet you slate those who don't go the game for being "armchairs". I share a season ticket with my bro but get to 90% of home games and nowadays only 20-25% of away games. It's a lot less than I used to because I have a young family and I make no apologies for putting them first. I know loads of lads who go home and away every single game. Some from the city, some from elsewhere. Do I value the opinion of the Reds who live in Liverpool anymore than those from outside? Not at all. The most knowlegable Red I know now lives and works in Widnes. The most knowlegable blue I know is from Birkenhead. So what?

There are knowlegable posters on here from all over the world. Whether or not they have the passion you describe is not something for you to decide is it really? In fact if you really believe that then I suggest you borrow MFGs time machine and bugger off back to the 1970s <ok>

And there we go Tobes. After all the ****e you spouted on this forum your last sentences reveals all. You come on to this board believing you are a superior fan to most. You do not think the majority of fans (because the majority don't or can't go to games) points are valid. So basically I was correct all along: An arrogant prick.

It's the only honest thing you've written and quite frankly Jimmy is right, your pathetic attention seeking deserves only short & absurd responses because all I'm doing is fuelling that Internet ego of yours.

I am quite literally bored with you now.

Billy - care to point out where I said or implied that where they live has any relevance? I was refering soley to those who never go & have never been & there's plenty of them mate.

It was you who brought up the wage bill & wage savings, & they can only be calculated over a year can't they? & it's still the same year isn't it? You can't pick & choose what you include in his cost 'savings' if you're going to claim it offsets his capital expenditure.

As if I'm arsed what you think lad.

You talk about arrogance & then pontiificate about your own opinion on my character (whilst calling me a prick), as if it should be of great relevance to my existence, the other whopper said the same. You make me laugh.

Toblerone in Boots - you most certainly are a cretin. You represent all that is bad in the world. You and your opinion have no worth which is why I can easily laugh at your pathetic posts and dismiss you. Not only this, you are an uneducated buffoon. I have no desire to engage in a sensible debate with you, I just merely want to look down on you and laugh, like the pitiful peasant you are.

Do I really have to go through your last 3 weeks posts to point out your penchant for asking fans where they're from? You called me a Norwegian in one of your first posts on here "mate" (remember that one?). Did you not ask Frank where he was from only yesterday? You did it to someone else only last week (Gerrez or JS can't remember). What I do remember is you going very quiet on the subject when you realised I was born and bred in Liverpool <ok>

Of course it was me who brought up wage bills and savings. It was in relation to your sincorrect assertion that BR has spent big relative to others. Something you're still not willing to take into account because it doesn't suit your "opinion".

Except you do care; painfully so. It's your whole purpose for being on this board: attention. You spout nonsense about real fans debating real football? What have you debated on this thread? Whether our standards or aims as a club have dropped? Second thread you've talked about this subject too.

Why is it so necessary to you to have us Liverpool fans say "yes, we have dropped in standards and goals"? I mean in football terms this isn't a very interesting subject is it? Either we, like you have Accepted we are now a mid table team & happy with our lot or we haven't and have faith or are deluded depending on how you view us. Either way it doesn't make us less of a fan to our clubs so why is it so important that you'd go on and on? I mean you've sat and argued over this subject throwing up stats for days and all on the basis of one sentence to the media from our manager? If anyone would laugh it would be him. I get the feeling he knows he's talking bollox half the time.

Is it simply to win the argument? But then that's not really about football is it? you could swap any topic on any forum and a little research on the internet and argue away. Because name calling aside I genuinely don't understand people that find it so important to "win" an argument on an Internet forum at all costs. It's a false premise; you can never "win" an Internet argument. What would you do, high five yourself for a point well made?

I mean at the end of the day while this is indeed a multi board forum the overriding reason it is divided into team sections is for those fans to group together & talk to each other about their club. I don't see you talking a lot about your club. I see you talking a lot negatively about our club.

I asked you before why only this board? You claimed local rivalry. But then spout about real fans and being interested in a superior way in the game as a whole. Are you saying that there are no experts in the game in all those other boards? And if you are not saying that why would you not want a proper conversation with them rather than get "abused" by plastics like me?

As has been stated 'real fans' as you call them don't need the Internet, they live locally & meet at matches. So why would you come in here when you have said experts on your doorstep in the real world?

So lets be clear here: you are stating that you are deliberately going on to a forum that discusses a team you don't like, inhabited in the majority by people you don't believe are real fans and in your own words can't respect them or their opinions. Why on earth would you do that?! You say for debate but you've already dismissed the vast majority of the opinions on here as less valid than your own so what debate is happening?

    Your accusations contradict your justifications.
