Fair enough and I sadly agree with this. It is all about luck, because we won't sign more players. But I think we will still have just enough to survive if those players get injured/leave. We will see though and we need one more decent striker!

I completely agree, a lot like Liverpool as well they could finish anywhere from 2nd to 10th. One week both teams will get a good win like us against Arsenal or Liverpool against Chelsea, then the next week we'll crumble and lose 5-1 away at Bolton

Yes, the richest club in the world will find it hard to strengthen *shakes head*

To be fair, I think 10th is a bit of an overexaggeration, anywhere from 2nd to 6th/7th maybe, no lower than that though. The big question mark for us is how Downing, Adam and Henderson handle playing for a big club.

Except by the time they do the "best" players will be signed and they'll only have the dregs left they should have acted like Lambert and gone in quick. Even if they do pick any class up how much time are they going to have to settle in with the rest of the squad?

    3. Man U
    4. Man City
    5. Liverpool
    ...
    18. Wigan or Norwich
    19. Swansea
    20. QPR (I can't see how they are going to finish anywhere higher than this- worse squad this season than last, especially with Taraabt about to go to Paris St Germain and NW has admitted he won't see any of the cash from it)

Well imo the problem City face is not needing to buy more players, but needing to buy players that will improve their current line up. They have probably the strongest set of players in the PL, but they don't gel together as well as Utd's, Chelsea's or even Arsenal's. And with FFP coming in they can't follow their current tactics of buy every player that comes available and stick with the ones that turn out to be right for the team.

Every team needs that one or two players (think Cantona, Vieira, Keane, Henry, Drogba) that turn a collection of good players able to compete for trophies into dominant title winners. City still need to find that player and, as Ranieri, Benitez and Keegan found out, finding that player isn't always easy.

Mick, Mick, where are you? When is this twat going to be banned? He contributes nothing and some of his comments (not the bile filled rant quoted) are just plain libelous.

    1- Man U/Chelsea
2- Chelsea/Man U Cant see too much between these two next season, if Rooney has a decent season and Torres finds his form
3- Man City Improving but still need to gel as a team I feel
4- Arsenal I think Gervinho will fit in well
    5 -Liverpool
    6 -Spurs

10 - Newcastle Obviously biased but if injuries stay minimal we have a decent squad this season

Bottom three I struggle to name this early, I think some of the promoted teams could do well first half of the season but tail off towards the end when squad depth takes a toll. And some prem teams could collapse like West Ham last season...hard to say.

    18 - Swansea
19 - Wigan Especially if they DO sell Nzog
    20 - Norwich
