It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that referee buying bastards is Manchester United.

Another useless theory spouted by KPR with not one shred of evidence.

Its amazing how many people have predicted that Liverpool will replace Arsenal in the top 4. Obviously they have a lot of faith in Henderson and Downing!! I think Ive seen this prediction that Arsenal will drop out of the top 4 in all of the last 5 seasons. I disagree.

Nowt against Liverpool, but I honestly feel that they will struggle to finish in the top six this season.

Spurs until they get a new central defence,goal-keeper,strikers that score goals and a manager, won't be good enough for the top 4.They only qualified for the top 4 because Liverpool were in turmoil. Its unlikely to happen again. The shoes going to be on the other foot.Liverpool are going to wipe the floor with Spurs.

Nor do I. When you spend big sums on mediocre players, the problem is that you will have to play them. This will lead to the likes of Adam replacing the superior Mereiles in the Liverpool team, Henderson replacing, well, someone etc. Will they actually be stronger?

Spending large sums on medoicre players?
The last poster was talking about Liverpool...not Man City.
They spent fortunes on mediocre players.
    Lescott.£24 million.
    Barry £12 million.
    Milner £26 million.
    Adebayor.£22 million.
    Dzeko.£27 million.
    Ballotelli.£27 million.

It's not about making the first team stronger though, we're strong enough as a first team. We had a record number of wins against the top 4 or something last season so we're not bad in the first team. It's about beating the "smaller teams" where we struggle. That requires hungry players and strength in depth, which is what we've invested in this season. If we can consistently beat the "smaller teams" then we have a very good chance of getting in the top 4.

Perhaps because QPR won the league. I know that is no barometer of success but it might be one fu*king reason
