And this attitude is what I find more embarrassing and cringeworthy than anything a 'cheating foreign player' (yes, he really did say that) could ever do. Why is it English people often try and find ANY possible excuse to blame somebody else, usually 'a dirty foreign player' (yes, he also really said that) for our own complete and utter ineptitude? And again, why is it that EVERY SINGLE EFFIN' TIME these people forget incidents when England players cheated? Michael Owen vs Argentina to win a penatly is THE most blatant example of a disgusting, cheating dive to win a penalty at a World Cup finals that I have genuinley EVER seen yet somehow that is overlooked. I mean, we're English and we couldnt possibly behave like those nasty, funny looking strange speaking people from other countries... Absolutely pathetic and disgusting in equal measures.
I cringed at the Norwich Chef on the pitch and Beckhams silly sloppy on the deck leg tap antics against Argentina. But for continuous cringing it's that terrible version of "Can't help falling in love" they play at the KC. Nothing against the song really (although we could have chosen much, much better) it's that limp wrist, namby pamby, wishy washy, etc etc version. How anyone could possibly think that inspires anyone is a mystery.
