I literally fell off the settee when I first saw this.
Any Billy Davies clip of him talking to the press. Phil Brown keeping the players on the pitch at half-time. Brown putting his name forward to be England Manager. Duffen talking about us getting into Europe, sorry Paul the Anglo-Italian cup finished years ago. I happen to like Mrs Smith and she showed more passion in that one moment than quite a few of our previous chairmen.

If the roles had been reversed and Rooney winked he wouldve been declared a hero. Roony did something stupid, cost us the game and Ronaldo knew it. No problem as far as I'm concerned.
ANother class moment for all Dwarfers!!
That was a classic example of a manager losing the plot. If Fergie had been watching that he would have p1ssed himself laughing!
I agree that there was no issue with him getting '5hit for brains' Rooney sent off. The cringeworthy part for me was that they were team mates at Man U and the sly smirk and wink just showed what a tosser he is.
That was the most ridiculous chain of events possible. It was yet another incident of England losing out because of cheating foreign players. Just like Argentina in 98, just like Rooney this year, all the exact same story every time. Each one of those incidents was a dirty foreign player fouling an England player, and the England player getting sent off for it. Every single time. It's also no coincidence that it was the most high-profile player involved each time. Everyone wants to jump on the back of players like that, if it was a fringe player who did it they'd stay on the pitch all 3 times. Everything Rooney does is exaggerated because 'it was his temper again'. This is the sort of thing I consider cringeworthy, more recently I thought Seb Larsson's dive last weekend was ****ing appalling, I couldn't believe he got a penalty for it and that he wasn't totally ostricized on MOTD too. Basically anyone blatantly cheating is cringeworthy for me.
Sorry it just annoys me that we always make excuses for foreign players and yet everyone is waiting for the top English players to give someone a little tap so they can make a massive fuss about it and say how they should be jailed and castrated.
I know what you mean. Whilst foreign players have brought an awful lot to the English game, the simulation (and fake card waving) is something that really gets on my tits. And when you watch european games its even worse - I've no doubt that El Clasico this weekend will be ruined by diving etc. I know when I played and I got hit hard I would get up straight away even if I was hurt cos there was no way I would let my opponent know he'd hurt me - I'd just make sure I hit him back harder the next tackle. Not sure if that's O/T or not, but I have been on the red wine!!
There's some domestic players I can't stand too. Karl Henry at Wolves is one of the dirtiest players around, an absolute animal. Ryan Shawcross and Snodgraas at Leeds are another pair who piss me off. It's not the nationality thing that annoys me, it's the deliberately looking for faults in England's best players. The obsession with Terry, Cole, Rooney, Gerrard and Lampard in particular. They are all examples of very honest, hard-working players and there are much more cringeworthy people in football than those lot.
Unfortunately that's the English/British way - we like to put people on pedestals then do our best to knock them off (so to speak). Whilst I don't condone the behaviour of some England's best players I agree that the obsession with finding some dirt on them (to the detriment of the squad) is embarrassing at times.
