I think Liam was slightly childish and embarrassing really. From what I've read, it's his antics that broke Oasis up; his need to be better than his brother and be the centre of all attention. When I saw them live, Liam reminded me of a hoodlum you'd see hanging around a Newsagents with a bunch of mates with some alcopops and cigarettes, shouting expletives at nearby OAP's.
My favourite Oasis song of all time.
He doesn't do bad covers either
Anyway, moving from Oasis before everybody begins to say how "****e" they were, what's your opinions on Mumford and Sons? They get accused of being "Farmers" and ****e by other bands but I think they're a unique style of music, and I for one, love it. Little Lion Man, The Cave, Babel, I Will Wait etc, brilliant.
Probably my favourite oasis song
Absolutely love this man, they're my favourite band closely followed by oasis and noel..... Don't like mumford and sons, just can't get into it
I'll just put my fave Oasis song in as well then: Personally not a big fan. Can't really get into them. I Will Wait is an alright song, I suppose. Everyone at my college ****ing raves over them, but I think most are jumping on a bandwagon... I know it isn't a band, but what about this lad?
I wouldn't say there's really a 'bandwagon' to jump on. Up North, Mumford and Sons don't really have that many fans (as far as I know) it's all down Sarf their fanbase. To have a College full of Mumford & Sons fans is relatively rare.
I've never got the Oasis, think they're very overrated. Just find them bland musically. IMO are Blur are much more diverse and talented.
It's because one of the 'cool' (I use that term loosely) was once listening to the ,so everyone followed suit. Like sheep. Idiots cant think for themselves. They mostly like manufactured modern ****e as well. I like Modern Life Is Rubbish, one of my fave albums. I'm not keen on much else of their stuff, apart from Blur and maybe Parklife, they're decent. That single they brought out last year, Under The Westway is class. I think if we are going to mention Oasis and Blur, these need a mention:
Anyone mentioned The Carpettes yet?
Peresonally, i always preferred Blur to Osais. Think they were a bit more interesting in trying to do different stuff - some worked some didnlt. I really do not like Mumford and Sons. Anodyne sterile pretentious nonsense. Their "style" has been perfected by many with far less commerical success. OMD? Blimey - I thoguht they'd be drawing their pensions by now. Liked them back in the day but would be suerprised if they were any good after all this time.
For anyone into Oasis, Beatles and that ilk. Here's a new British band who are pretty interesting.
