This thread HAS to put the myth to bed that all Geordies are thick Charves!

Thick charvas can't read or write let alone use a computer. Newcastle has always been a rock city historically, its just the fantastic club scene here that has made dance and pop more popular, not necessarily a bad thing coz at least you can dance to that stuff.

Mr Bungle, now i like that Sir BR! Mike Patton is THE Legend
The only band EVER to mix rock, funk and carnival music and various samples in to one song and make the lyrics totaly messed up, awesome stuff.

Seen Mike Pattern loads of times with Faith No More another classic top 5 band

Slipknot oh yes! Joey Jordison best drummer in a LONG time

Have to agree on that one, close fight with Dave Lombardo of Slayer.

Best gig EVER was Metallica headlining Download, Lars Ulrich was sick so Joey (Slipknot), Dave Lombardo (Slayer) and the drum Tech for Lars all filled in. They played all the old stuff from the black album and earlier was ****in awesome. Half the crowd didn't have a clue what the songs were <laugh>

Heard after that Joey was sitting with the Tallica guys and he was that good Lars walked over and said 'Should i bother coming back?' <laugh> You know your good when LARS ULRICH says that!

Best gig i ever saw was Slipknot at download 2009, absolutely amazing set!!

you know what, Metallica were the 1st band to get me into metal when i was 11 (18 years ago **** me!!) and they remain the only band i like that i have NEVER seen live. How bad is that!?!?! Sounds like a good gig tho BR

I was there, it was class. Hefield and even Kirk (!) said they were struggling to keep up with Lombardo during Battery.

I've been into Metallica since 1986 - Master of Puppets to me still their best album I'd have 12-13 years old <laugh>

I downloaded the live Download gig off of Metallica live, still listen to it now. Awesome to think I was there for such a one off gig.

ehhhhh bit late to this thread and after reading most of it, have to agree with Blacker-than-knight with his choices adding Iron maiden to the list
