Top 4 ?

What is the point of an extension then, We should forget it and save our money

 

The extension is necessary because we have a lot of people on a waiting list. The additional income will be a drop in the ocean but nonetheless welcome.

 

if we are not going to benefit that much there is no need for an extension. why waste money......Tough titty if you cant get in ....

 

Not sure that's how the Board see it. Besides, the extension money will prove well worth it long term.

 

They wont get it at the liberty that's for sure....

 

upgrade to 30,000 would be nice and I cannot see for any reason why we cannot make the top 4 with another couple of signings

 

I think we will do very well to reach 6th, and I will be happy at a top 10 finish for now, lets get stuck into that big capital increase of next season to build further.......




You can never have enough cash in this game so those extra seats will generate a modest £6 0r £7 Million each season, we cannot ignore that lost revenue.

 

After yesterday's awful performance, with Everton next to visit - a team we have never beaten in the league, I think we are at the highest position we will reach for the rest of the season.

 

Christ on a bike , I didn't realise the season was so short this year. .

 

I'd love to think we can get higher, but I can see us getting a draw next week, in which case we'll probably drop down few places.

 

seems I should've added Leicester and Ranieri to my list, I've always rated the tinkerman and was a bit surprised he went to a club like Leicester considering his CV.
The thing you can take away from yesterdays performance is that pretty much everyone played poorly, probably won't happen again, they probably thought it would be a walk in the park against Watford, something I think we (whu) suffered against Bournemouth and Leicester.

Let's just look at the facts so far :
Currently 8th
2 wins from 5 games.
No wins away from home.
Played against 3 of the bottom 4
We've beaten the team in 2nd position and last position.
Failed to win against teams currently 17th and 19th positions.
Failed to win against 10 men twice.
Watford got their first win and first goal against us.

EDIT: Watford got their first goal at home against us.

Any team hoping to finish in the top 6 would surely have taken more points than we have already.
I'm not trying to be negative, I just don't think we have done as well as many think we have.

 

I fear for us against Everton as well.

 

They got 2 against Everton on the opening day. Just saying, like.

 

I stand corrected - it was their first goal at home this season.

 

Wow There are 12 clubs some big who are in trouble this season then........Stop exaggerating ffs We have been brilliant so far this season, So what we lost a game by one goal.....big deal we are not going to win every game and will lose a few more as the season goes along. I would snap your hand off for where we are before the season started. We are playing great football and have already beaten Man utd and the way the watford media are talking watford are ecstatic at beating us like we were against man utd and that goes to show how much we are rated by teams today......I will be happy if we lose one game in 4 or 5 whoever we lose too.....We lose a match and out comes the doom and gloom merchants.....stop exaggerating and look at the reality....

 

...but Dai, the reality are the statistics I posted..... there's no exaggeration. No doom and gloom, just the facts.

 

We have been up to 3rd a couple of weeks ago and now we are 8th through goal difference, I would say statistics mean nothing and only win ,lose or draw are the only indication that matters and to be where we are at this stage points to an above average season. we will always have bad games now and again but that don't mean we are doomed. I'm sure Chelsea would swap places with us today, That is what i would call having a bad start and not us in 8th with one loss to our name...

 

A draw v Everton will be a decent result. They're playing well and just battered Chelsea.
It's now a simple case of, bar Man City, play well and we'll win.
Top 6 might be out of reach, but I see no reason why we can't nail the 7th spot.
