But there is a very good reason why Liverpool fans could now be cheering on The Indomitable Lions.
    Matip's Cameroon v Mane's Senegal Saturday 28/01/17

    CROSS ROAD
    for Liverpool's fans???

    Chelsea at Anfield on 31/01/2017.

I sincerely doubt if they lost he would be fit to play due to travel etc. If they win that BTW he is staying the entire time cos theres a meaningless stupid 3rd/4th place play off in this too.

January is Liverpool's worst month. They have won just 45 per cent of their games across all competitions during the calendar month over the last 25 years.
This season, the Reds have only won once, or 16.7 per cent of their games, after winning all of their fixtures in September.

It's been a slippery slope from their early-season heights - they won 80 per cent of their games in October, 75 per cent in November and 66.7 per cent in December before this month's season-low return.

Keep our heads above water for top 4 that's for sure. With the Sunderland and Swansea results, this game is no longer about closing the gap on Chelsea.

    I think we're scrapping for 4th now.

I'm still pleased with our improvements from last year.

    1. Chelsea
    2/3. Arsenal or Spurs
    4. Us, United and City

We've got our work cut out atm.

United are on the charge and City will eventually have a good run you would think.

Was a result the other teams drew on the weekend.

We must get back to winning ways immediately or we could fall away.

Get winning and we may mix it up with the 2/3rd place battle.

If we are outside the top four, improvement not good enough. Leicester were almost relegated in 2014/2015, they won the league in 2015/2016.That was a real improvement.

    grouchy :)

some people need to just look to the next game and look for performance. the rest will take care of itself and we will end up where we deserve to.

I think our injuries have effected us quite badly. You just have to look at Leicester last season and Chelsea this one, once they got a good run and a solid starting 11 they were/are pretty unstoppable. Ourselves, United, Arsenal, Spurs and City haven't been able to keep a consistent starting 11 all season and have dropped points when changes have had to be made.

yes, its clear that at this point henderson is on about 70% gas and clyne is struggling. coutinho is only barely back and not trianing so thats 60mins of a guy trying to get to speed. and of course matip out has been disasterous.

I would say we need 3/4 weeks of one game a week to get back up to speed.

Wolves this weekend then cheslea midweek isn't exactly that.

We need to be in Champion League next season, to stand the chance of keeping our top players, otherwise
law of diminishing returns can come in.

This is why I wanted Chelsea to have beaten spurs before - we need to consolidate our position in the top 4.

We can still beat Spurs at Anfield also Arsenal. Our future is in our hand. Not a disaster yet.

I think we were spoilt with our position pre Xmas, despite the Burnley loss. We need the first 11 fully fit and match fit to maintain a run of wins. Losing key players to injury/Africa has not helped. I also think teams have sussed out that we play very much through the middle, we need to have a plan B involving wingers even if it means playing younger players on the wing. At least this will give some variation to our game.
