After reading a post from the sites favourite ****tard regarding Roberto Martinez being one of the top 3 managers ( I assume he means in Manchester and surrounding areas ) and with the top manager of all managers ever about to retire I wonder who everyone else sees as the top 3 managers in the Premier League.

For me without involving SAF its AVB, Moyes and Wenger. Not in any real order as such either.

Sir Alex and Wenger are the top two. Moyes is probably third but its close between him, Martinez and Laudrup.

First two is a easy choice:

1) Fergie
2) Wenger

Third is a bit more difficult. They likes of AVB, Moyes, etc are very close IMO and Laudrup needs more time to prove his worth, especially after his Swansea side have calapsed after winning the League Cup. I'm going for a unexpected candidate...

3) Redknapp

He is a good motivator that usually gets the best out of his players, he's just trying to flog a dead horse at QPR!

Are we talking this season only here or premier league in general?

I assumed it was existing Premier League managers

Presume it's just current premiership managers. Many people picking Wenger and 6 years ago I would have agreed, no doubt, but following years without trophies, tactically one dimensional, poor transfers both in and out and slowly but surely slipping down the league I can't include him in my top 3.

Wenger has to be up there, he spends **** all. Moyes too and Rafa out of the current managers -Fergie of course.

Roberto Martinez? I guess that is why Wigan are in the relegation zone at the moment? Yesterday for me just highlighted what a spanner Mancini was rather than how great his opposite number was.

This season:

1) Sir Alex
2) David Moyes
3) Steve Clarke

And personally I dislike all three of them!

I see some of you mentioning Rafa, although he is a lot better than some of the dross in this league (cough Alan Pardew). I don't think he outperformed what we would of expected from a Chelsea side (although he did polish up some players).

Excluding SAF.

Best managers are:

1)Paul Lambert
2)David Moyes
3)Arsene Wenger

Lambert will go right to the top, think he was a better option than Moyes for United job. The job he did at Norwich was absolutely miraculous. Bottom of league 1 to mid table prem in the quickest time possible.

If we are going off this season only then it has to be Benitez, AVB and Moyes given what they had to work with and spent.

He has done an amazing job in ****ing up the Carling Cup, World Club Championship, FA Cup and title race.
